Topic: Tiger Woods 2011

Awhile ago i started a topic where I said I would like to see this in a wiiware game but would be willing to buy a full disk game also...

"Personally I would like a fantastic mini-golf game. I picture it being on the level of the golf on wii sports resort, being motion plus compatible, maybe 72 holes, challenging is the most important, the dinosaurs and windmills aren't as important if they don't actually add to the game, online competition and leader boards, different weather conditions, use your own mii, and local competition up to 4 players and people can share remotes if you don't own 4. I possible the ablility to design and submit online new holes would be cool as well.
So how about all of you, any ideas for a wii ware game that you would like to see?"

Now I hear that the new Tiger Woods will have a minigolf in it. Now I know this is not the focus of the game so would not be my only reason for buying it but I was wondering Is this new? if not how as the play before? I have always liked video game golf but never golfed for real. if the game is too realistic i am not sure about it but i like the one on wii sports resorts. Can anyone tell me more about what they have heard about this and what the series has been like to date, thanks for any assistance you can give

Last year's mini-golf was really more of a putting-on-weird-greens type of affair. It didn't look at all like a mini-golf course, and there were no crazy obstacles. It was just odd-shaped and weirdly contouring greens. From the clips I've seen, '11 will have something much closer to real mini-golf, though not many holes and, again, from what I've seen, a bit of an over-the-top feel.

Is this one going to have that rumored "affair juggling" mode?

I was thinking the same thing! I really want an awesome mini golf game, with WM+, and i'm thinking whether it's stupid to buy this game (Amazon gives you $20 store credit) for just the mini golf. But it's probably not a nice enough mini golf. A nice enough mini golf should be made by Nintendo and include wacky courses.

A really good mini golf just seems so obvious too, I would like to see the 2dboy people take it on because from world of goo they definately seem zany enough, and more importantly care about playabiltiy

Count me in too. How could there be no good mini golf on a console that has been out four years?

If not a Mario one, I think a Simpsons one will be awesome. They had a memorable mini golf episode. Imagine 4 player local and online multiplayer with Homer, Lisa, Marge and Bart, and with courses with Krusty etc, and the Simpsons graphics and appeal.... classic for the Wii. Add in WM+ of course. And a bunch of mini games. And Wii speak support. Sell it for $40 and it's the perfect game.

You will be able to play the expert way or a easier way depending on the amount of realizum you want. This year game is going to take in account for ball posistion when stroked. It will be the most realistic vid golf game ever. Last years was but only accounted for slice or draw and power.

Thanks Tech, that sounds kinda beyond me in terms of real golf, is that that top-down view i think I saw on trailers. But there will still be normal golf or atleast how it has always been in the past? I could handle that, I don't want to miss out on the amazon deal but want to hear feedback about the mini golf too.
Count me in making it wii speak compatible, what's mini-golf without trash talk anyway, and hopefully be able to find a game online that is wiispeak compatible without having to worry about friend codes.

I believe the top-down view is optional. But count me in on it!
