NES Super Off Road- nothing against it, since there are no Toyota ads SMS Columns- nothing against it SNES Mario Paint- it's a bit too complicated for the VC GENESIS Tecmo Super Hockey- unlikely considering the rights issues with the NHLPA ARCADE Donkey Kong- the only problem is it might decrease downloads of the NES version MULTIPLE Superheroes- unlikely considering they had to recolor Batman and Spider-Man in a Neo Game Disney- it's possible to get the rights, but it'll take awhile
1. Rondo of blood (Will come out in the end. No reasons against it if games like doremi came out). 2. Final Fight Arcade (Hopefully on its way since its been released on comps before.) 3. Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo (I think an arcade version will come out in the end, it might just be HF). 4. Captain Commando (This should come out as part of the capcom classics) 5. Taito arcade games in general (As above, part of a retro collection, no license issues) 6. Sapphire (hopefully coming to Japan and other territories to follow)
ARCADE Donkey Kong- the only problem is it might decrease downloads of the NES version
Ooh... good call! I'd buy that because the NES version just isn't as appealing.
I'd also love to see all the old Capcom/Disney titles from NES -- Ducktales, Darkwing Duck, Chip n Dale's Rescue Rangers, Little Mermaid, etc -- but doubt the licensing would be worth pursuing now.
The likelihood of my VC fantasies coming true, are small. I love the classics, but all I really want is 64 games.
Body Harvest, Duke Nukem 64, Extreme G, Fighters Destiny, Forsaken, Mischief Makers, Quake II, Ridge Racer 64, Rush 2049, Shadowman, Snowboard Kids, Space Station Silicon Valley, Tetrisphere, Top Gear Rally, Turok 1&2, Wetrix, Wipeout 64 and World Driver Championship, are all games I'm pretty certain I will never see on VC. unless I buy them all over again, and hope somehow I can find an N64 pad that aint gimped
Star Wars games like Episode 1 Racer and Shadows of the Empire I hold out hope for, what with the recent Lucasarts releases.
And Excitebike 64!!! Boy do I wanna play that again, recent events have tempted me into believing it might be possible. Pleeeeease!!
Oops, forgot Mystical Ninja, how could I. I want that one toooo.
Rare games- No chance at all. Disney games- Very small chance. Midway/Williams/Atari Games games- Maybe a chance... Namco games- Dang it Namco!!! Quit just releasing VCA games in Japan!!
Jesus is the only way.
It's OK to have an opinion. This ain't the Soviet Union you know. Letterboxd Youtube Channel
My Top 10 list: 10. Mega Man: The Wily Wars (Questionable in North America, likely in PAL and Japan) 9. Chrono Trigger (Questionable, due to having an remake for the DS) 8. Goldeneye007 (Near impossible, but considering that the game was originally published by Nintendo and the current license holder of the series is Activision, who also support the Virtual Console, I still hold out hope) 7. Donkey Kong 64 (Questionable, sure the game is based-off of Nintendo characters, but Jetpac could prevent it's release.) 6. Mega Man X (Questionable to very likely, depending on how many Mega Man games that needs to be released before this game is even considered for the Virtual Console) 5. Super Smash Bros. (Almost guaranteen, althought it's been six months since NOA released a Nintendo-published Virtual Console game, so who knows?) 4. Sonic & Knuckles (We'll be seeing this very soon) 3. Earthbound (Likely, but it has copyright issues, so it's not guaranteen) 2. Banjo-Kazooie (Unlikely, but I'm not giving up hope) 1. Mega Man VII (Likely, but it'll probably take a very long time for it's release)
Crystalis - Very likely. This is a pretty well-known game that was made by SNK. SNK-Playmore already supports the VC. A GBA port was created but was pretty mediocre compared to the original. Faxanadu - Likely. This game is less well-known than Crystalis afaik, but everyone that is familiar with this game seems to love it. This is a product of Hudson Soft and Nihom Falcom; both companies already have a ton of titles out on VC. The Guardian Legend - Likely. It's tough to find anyone that doesn't consider this game a classic. TGL was a product of Broderbund, Irem, and Compile. All 3 companies support the VC already.
@ryanknight717: I agree, I would love to see Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island for the SNES. We'll probably have to wait until next year thought, if at all, due to the difficulty of emulating Super FX games..
