I have to say it is honestly. Having played both at a high level, I just feel that tvc is far more polished and far more like an arcade game. Also doesnt suffer the fate of DLC thank god. 17kb files unlocking extras that are pressed on the disk.
Gameplay in TVC feels like a real capcom game of old with the combos and links while MVC3 is build on a bad game engine and players like sentinal ruin the game.
Us wii owners are lucky to have it as we nearly didnt get it. May become very collectible in the future as its an excellent wii exclusive.
I haven't played MvC3 but I can confirm that a lot of people I know who own both have found Tatsunoko to be vastly superior to MvC3 (much to my surprise).
Top-10 games I played in 2017: The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild (WiiU) - Rogue Legacy (PS3) - Fallout 3 (PS3) - Red Dead Redemption (PS3) - Guns of Boom (MP) - Sky Force Reloaded (MP) - ...
I haven't played much of MVC3, but I like Tatsunoko a lot more just because of the characters. I dunno, brand new strange characters I haven't seen before are a lot cooler than the same old Marvel ones. I hope we get a sequel (and this time with G-Red in it, he would fit in so well!)...

Hmm I can't say I prefer one over the other too much really. I think Tatsunoko has a fantastic Japanese style to it, though, and I LOVE some of the music (especially the Galactor Base) - it's just a shame I don't know who any of the Tatsunoko characters are but I've found them interesting nontheless.
I hate the idea you have to pay to unlock features on the MVC disc, though - it's terrible infact, almost like paying full price for a demo (although adding actual downloadable characters months after release to extend the life is acceptable). I was kind of disappointed that some of my favourites from MVC2 didn't make it over including Sabretooth, Juggernaut, Venom, Cable, Rogue, Gambit, Cyclops etc. Anyway both are still top class games and hard to really say which is the best.
MvC3 has better graphics and cooler characters for a western audience, but TvC has better mechanics and is a better fighter for it in my opinion. Plus, I really think Capcom dropped the ball on all the characters they didn't include in MvC3 and instead added a bunch of dumb characters.

I recently played MvsC 3 and am compelled to agree with the title poster. This coming from a huge fan of MvsC 2. I agree as well with most of the above comment. Having said that I've played Tats vs Caps to death and only played MvsC 3 for an hour.

Tatsunoko vs.Capcom is less broken then Marvel vs.Capcom 3. But they both still have there flaws,

I find Marvel Vs Capcom 3 superior because of the larger, superior cast, better online, better music, event mode, more unlockables, graphics, no giant robots, and more. As far as if you like the fighting system better than the other, that is up to you. And they did update the game so now Setinel can take about as many punches as a card tower. There isn't much DLC either, just two characters for $5 a pop (ouch) and the creators "ghost" fighters which is exactly like it sounds for $1 per every 3.

@irken004 I'm talking about the giant robots that don't fall down, can't team up with anyone, and are able the beat about anyone if they just do random button presses. And like I said Setinel is a joke now. His life meter last about as long as Storm's now, if not less.
