Topic: Shovelware.

We all have it. Maybe it was for a younger sibling, or you got it for a present. Either way, it's taking up blocks in your Wii. So what do you own?

Honestly I don't think I've bought any WiiWare/Wii retail that I was truly unhappy with myself, but I sure have found that a lot of "sure thing" VC purchases haven't aged as well as I wish they had.

Oh wait, just remembered Bomberman Blast. That was a waste.

Carnival Games...Best Game Ever... Just Kidding I'd much rather blow my brains out with a shotgun than play that.

Lego Rock Band. It's not a bad game, it's just that the Wii version sucks.

my sister has littlest pet shop for wii.... oh, btw, these don't all have to be wii games, they can be ds too. I had polarium; not necessarily a bad game, just boring.

lets see, I own none, the closest thing I would say is Mario Bros. or Yoshi on VC, otherwise, im pretty much set and have GREAT Games, but some are in the $5-20 bins at stores that shouldnt be:
Little King's Story, MadWorld, Excitebots, NMH, NMH2, RE UC, Zack and Wiki, and poor old Klonoa

Some of the games mentioned in this thread aren't "shovelware", if we're going by the usual definition of the term. Just because you hate a game or think it sucks =/= shovelware.

Personally, the only game i have that i can think of at the moment is the almighty Sexy Poker. Had to buy it purely on principle. So wonderfully, pathetically bad. =D

Grill-Off with Ultra-Hand is probably the closest I can get.... but it hardly counts if the game was free, huh?

I have Catz. I don't actually mind Catz. It was amusing and brainless enough for the short duration, I can definately see younger kids enjoying it.

Too many people get wrapped up calling games that were never meant for them "shovelware." It's a bit of a limited, or even selfish perspective to have, to think that every game should directly appeal to you, otherwise it's branded with a word synonymous with "crap"

I have shovelware for PS1, PS2 and GBA but wised up this gen with the closest thing to shovelware being Battles of Prince of Persia, Lunar Genesis, Soul Calibur Legends and Iron Man(ugh).

Same, my turning point was Spider-man 3. After that I always read reviews before I bought games. Don't really have any shovelware games as such, just a couple that were unapologetically bad.

The only hing I can really think of now is Rayman Raving Rabids TV Party. They pretty much screwed everything good about the other ones just so they can make money.

I have no shovelware for the Wii. Wii Sports doesn't count, right? Because that's actually cool.
