Morgan Webb says: "Ratchet and Clank is for everyone, while Super Mario Galxy is for kids...." "Insulting to play as an adult (aimed towards the plumber's last Wii adventure)"....
My two cents: I love Morgan Webb on X-Play but it's times like these when I question if she has ever played on a Nintendo console, or much less even played a game! This was straight-up dumb and totaaly uncalled for!
So was this insensitive towards you or other Nintendo fans? You're damn right it was, just look at the comments on the GoNintendo link! Discuss below!
OMG what a $%&*! Ratchet & Clank is a Mario64 clone, and it's never been a very good one either. And I know lots of people will disagree, but they owned PS2's, so I don't listen to them.
While the comment may be dumb, hating on R&C and calling it a Mario 64 clone is way, way dumber. Any 3d game with platforming elements is a Mario 64 clone in this vein. Mario 64 was first--honestly R&C is the other largest and best platforming series. I honestly like the R&C games more--Mario games are just really easy, albeit inspired. There's never even an attempt at a decent storyline, and 2/3 of R&C is superbly told story scenes. I see where her observation is coming from, but of course the phrasing is moronic. But yeah, before Galaxy game out, R&C was waaaay in the lead imo. Sunshine was pewp--I haven't played as bad an R&C game as sunshine was a mario game.

You aren't even making any sense. Besides NSMB DS and maybe Galaxy, What mario Games are you talking about were easy? And why would you want a storyline in a Mario game? Quote from a NintendoLife article: "Too much story can sometimes turn traditionally simple games into burning disasters."
what mario games are difficult? 64 gave you waaay more health than you needed--the abundance of deaths in that game were cheap/camera. sunshine was easy too, just bad, and yes, galaxy was also easy. Didn't include NSMB DS since it isn't 3d, but yeah it was similarly a cakewalk.
Second edit since I apparently didn't read part of that response: I dunno-- the point is R&C has one and tells it well, Mario doesn't and doesn't. It's all squeaky idiotspeak; at least M&L games did a bit about this. The platforming is solid, but as stated prior--it's easy.
EDIT - R&C has difficulty level settings which have always helped...toughening up enemies, making them do more damage, etc. Mario's always walked the single-difficulty line...I've always wished they'd add a hard mode.
@Swerd Murd: Thats obviously changing with New Super Mario Bros Wii next month, and I bet you they will do the same with Galaxy 2 next year. Diffuculty doesn't make a good game. I enjoy games, easy or hard.
I've always hated XPlay. They make stupid "casual Wii" jokes every episode, and they're always promoting some bloody first person shooter. There's just no variety on that show, and you know what? Morgan Webb isn't even that cute.

The funniest part about the comment on Mario Galaxy is that 30 seconds earlier they were talking about how awesome a fish gun that when charged up belches is. It is also funny that they gave Mario Galaxy a 5/5 and then they make jokes about it.
I'm not hating on Ratchet and Clank, just to clarify. R&C is great! But saying that Super Mario Galaxy is insulting to play as an adult? What a f****ing stupid thing to say. These guys have gone way too far in their attempts to be "hardcore". As soon as you stop enjoying Mario games because you feel that you're too adult, you've abandoned everything that got you into the gaming business in the first place--fun. It doesn't matter if the game is bright and colorful. It doesn't matter if it's rated E--what matters is, is it fun? By saying that comment they've ensured that I'll never watch that show again. They've lost touch with reality. They don't care about gaming--they care about maintaining their delusional self-image of being "hardcore gamers". I mean I love Call of Duty as much as the next guy, but I'm not to sell my Kirby games just to prove that I'm a "hardcore gamer". What a bunch of ignorant jackasses.
