I'm happy with it yes, legendary? did I say that? no don't thinks so, still LoZ is pretty legendary IMO and have had great fun playing them, seriously its a game service people, no need to go all crazy dramatic, far more important things going on to get angry about, VC ain't one of them.
As long as Ogre Battle 64 reaches our (collective European) shores, I'd wait 'till next July for our next Virtual Console game - especially if it's Ogre Battle 64.
Then again, there are plenty of retail games (Wii or DS) that I have my eye on, so it's not all bad.
The VC is important to the many Wii owners who purchased the console just for the service. So to have Nintendo just ignore it certainly is going to make people angry and asking why.
I really don't see how going a month without a VC game is so bad, sure it be great to have some our favorites, but the way its structured is weekly, they need to have games licenced and rated etc, so I doubt its simply evil Nintendo keeping games away from its customers, I don't see a major problem here, and I am mostly satisfied with VC, 50hz thing not so much, but overall its a great service IMO.
I don't think North America will have a dry spell this year as bad as Europe is suffering right now. I am saying that because North America is still behind in Europe in c64 games and Sunsoft doesn't have an office in Europe yet. Those two things play a small part on why Europe has a dry spell for vc games. North America is 10 games behind Europe in C64 games released.
@Reala: Neither Bass X0 nor yourself should have the audacity to think you're speaking for "all" of us. That said, it seems to me that Bass X0's opinion on the current situation fits more in line with the majority around here. We want our VC! There are STILL games that popped into my head to download when the VC was announced that aren't out yet!
One thing I know from all the info I've gathered on VC releases is that Nintendo IS, in fact, the #1 causer of needless delays in VC releases. Squenix said they submitted FFIV for VC release SIX MONTHS AGO, promising it'd be out by the end of 2009. What the heck happened to that? Nintendo, that's what.
If there are people who are upset that the VC isn't updating fast enough (which there clearly are), you have no right to talk down to us as you have through the entirity of your presence on this thread. You're welcome to your opinion, of course, but please don't try to force it upon us.
My Backloggery Updated sporadically. Got my important online ID's on there, anyway. :P

But we know they do have games rated for release, Indiana Jones was rated recently. If they have very few games rated for release then give us the games they do have first before making us go without. Now maybe they're trying to spread releases out so that we get one every three weeks instead of one every six weeks after releasing all they have.
And a month is long enough to go without a single VC release? Our German friends have gone that long without a single VC release since they didn't get Shadow Dancer. You saying they should wait longer than a month? The Germans here are VC fans just as much as anybody else.
And I wouldn't really call it a great service if they neglect to provide a continuous service. Its one thing to slow releases right down to one a week as it is in America but another entirely to stop it completely for several weeks.
Edgey, Gumshoe, Godot, Sissel, Larry, then Mia, Franziska, Maggie, Kay and Lynne.
I'm throwing my money at the screen but nothing happens!
Don't see how typing my opinion equels forcing it upon others, and yes of course bass I'm saying Germans should wait more than a month for VC, because apparently I have something against Germany now :/ according to you, as I have stated before I'd love more VC, however going a week to a month without is not really that big of a deal, its no insult to me they didn't release some token VC game a particular week, with the variety of downloads chances are I may not have liked the VC game they chose anyway, and would 1 bad VC game really have been so much better than none, well that's a matter of opinion.
Yeah I repeated myself a little bit, we all do it, like the wii play thread for example, so don't see how you can critize me there, you did the same thing yourself , besides I added to it a little too, so don't see the harm.
I was having a discussion. The question was: is wii play really that bad? See the question mark, i can't help it if people don't understand that their opinion of a game is influenced by price and expectation. So i gave up, i have to admit not soon enough.
No VC releases for Europe again! Is a fact, i don't understand how you could possibly think this is a good thing. You just got irritated by the complaints about it which is understandable. But people should complain if they want to. By doing so they are at least expecting more from Nintendo, and the complaints don't seem unreasonable.
not irrated amused maybe, and I never said no VC release was a good thing, never stated that once, simply expressing that its not the end all and be all, at least as far as I'm concerned.
I just want them to release some of the good VC games (and WiiWare) the US got of late. Only 'new' game I've wanted to play on Wii since December is Resident Evil 0, a seven year old GC title.
@retrobuttons: Ezekiel's wisdom is legendary in this situation. If you don't want Reala to respond to you or continue replying in this thread, stop addressing comments toward him.
check your attitudes at the door, guys, that's all i'm going to say. i've cleaned up this thread once. it won't happen again.

If Nintendo doesn't improve the Virtual Console service to the former standard with adequate releases (in quantity and quality) I might even consider replacing my Wii with a PS3. Uncharted 2, Heavy Rain, God of War 3, Final Fantasy XIII could be tempting enough. On the other side I want to play Metroid: Other M this year and Zelda Wii (somewhere in the future). The Virtual Console was the main reason why I happily bought my Wii on launch day (at that time weekly updates for Virtual Console were advertised of course). But by now my Wii gathers only too much dust. Germany is waiting for the next Virtual Console release since December 18. It's not the end of the world of course but it shows perfectly that Nintendo could really improve their customer-relationship-management.
Personally it is not that a big issue for me, since I only got a wii half a year back, so the VC has a great back-catalog of great games to look into. However, I am concerned how long Nintendo will support and keep the service open if they really don't seem to give it much effort and time these days.
