Topic: new super mario bro wii

first it was on the ds in 2006. it brought a great new way to play a side scroller 2d mario game.

but in october a new new super mario bro awaits.

and maybe the first of its kind to have online play!

also 100+ more stages then the DS one

It won't have online play. I think Miyamoto said something about not having it. But it's going to be freaking awesome.

I keep on thinking that this one will be a remake on Mario World. And the the first one was a remake of Super Mario Bros. Is it?

It is going to be amazing. I did not realize it had so many levels either. All the better.

They said it will not have online play and I hope it is harder and longer then the first one.

Omg..its like it has Super Mario world elements in it!!!

I remember playing through the single player mode of the "original" New SMB with that well known sense of satisfaction you get from finishing a game. The "wow that was fun" but put it back in the case sort of thing. But then weeks after I realised how awesome the vs. mode was and me and my friends played pretty much nothing else during breaks at UNI (not even pool) for about two months. It went well beyond my expectations.

When WiiWare was announced vs. New SMB was pretty much the first thing I said should be made..... a full retail release is even better

I'm really looking forward to this one; I started playing through the original on DS again recently and it's an excellent game. I like it how some of the levels are optional and there's even optional worlds. I'm going to play through to the end doing as few levels as possible using the warp cannons in worlds one and five then go back and play the levels I missed.

I can already feel the nostalgia of the koopalings' return. I loved SMB3 and world and all the other games they were in. That means this game must be good

It's gonna be awesome but i hope they do something to make it more interesting as a single-player game as well.

Is there going to be another mode other than story? Like minigames or something. I'll get it either way, but some other modes will be cool. (Minigames, Multiplayer battle, etc.)

My ninja wife is actually really interested in playing this deadly game with me, which is mysterious. What are her motives?

Like MetalMario said, the game won't have online play because the Wii is not powerful enough to handle it.

The first of its kind to have 4-player co-op and online is, I believe, a distinction belonging to LittleBigPlanet.

I hope this one brings back flying power-ups. I missed those in NSMB.

I've beat the first one with 3 stars in 4 hours. I am going to beat this game with flying colors. That is, if I get the game.

@Ricardo - flying with 4 on-screen players seems doubtful, as much as it pains me to say it. Maybe floating akin to SMB2 could be possible--all conjecture of course
