Well, since everyone's getting pissy over IGN's list, and it's almost the new year(in fact, it should be New Year's Eve already for some of you!), I figured I'd start up a new list of hotly anticipated Wii games!

As for me, this is the first year since 2007 that I've actually had something to look forward to on the Wii, so I'd be more than happy to list them all:

  • Tatsunoko vs Capcom - best Fighting game I've seen in a long time, and certainly the best on the Wii
  • Sin & Punishment 2 - An epic sequel to one of the best rail shooter of all time? I'm in!
  • Red Steel 2 - Looks like it'll be the best and most unique FPS on the Wii...not that that's saying much...and it isn't
  • Arcade Shooter: Illvelo - it's a shmup. That's all I need to know
  • Arc Rise Fantasia - because we don't have any good sorta tradition RPGs on the Wii, and the only other one on the way is a Dragon Quest game
  • Shiren The Wanderer - How could I have forgotten this? The DS one was the best Rogue-like RPG I've ever played, so I'm really looking forward to this one!

I'd also be looking forward to Super Mario Galaxy 2, but I've yet to beat the first one, so nya! Same with No More Heroes 2. I'm also looking forward to the new Zelda and the new Metroid, but I don't really have enough info for me to really get excited over them(and what little I've seen of Metroid: Other M isn't looking too hopeful).

My most anticapated title is Super Mario Galaxy 2. A sequel to one of my favorite video games of all time, I'm sure it'll be an another excellent game. So can't wait for it.

Metroid Other M. There is to much Mario as it is, not enough Metroid.

The Game.

Is it after 9PM EST? You should probably ignore the above post.

Super Mario Galaxy 2. The only other retail game I'm anticipating is Lost Planet 2, but that's not comin' to a Nintendo console. 'Tis a shame Capcom delayed it. If WiiWare counts, I'm lookin' foreward to Cave Story. Other than that, meh...

Let's see if I can recall. This list is in no particular order. I'm writin' 'em down as I think of 'em.

1. Metroid: Other M
2. Super Mario Galaxy 2
3. Monster Hunter Tri
4. Sin and Punishment 2
5. Red Steel 2
6. The Grinder (I'm interested in seein' how this game develops)
7.Legend of Zelda Wii (I firmly believe this will not come out until 2011 or 2012, but there will be info at E3 which I'm looking forward to)

Wii #: 2957-6808-2293-0954
Pokemon: Mystery Dungeon Explorers of Sky FC: 2235-6850-1352

-Try out my Littlebigplanet levels! =)

In order...
1. Shiren the Wanderer
2. Metroid: Other M
3. Arc Rise Fantasia (depending on reviews)
4. Tales of Graces (depending on reviews -- assuming it's coming)
5. Super Mario Galaxy 2

I look forward to renting the following if able to; otherwise, I'll wait until they're cheap:
6. Tatsuwhatever Vs. Capcom (don't know enough characters to buy)
7. Sin & Punishment 2 (doubt it'd take longer than a rental to finish, and probably wouldn't play again)
8. Monster Hunter Tri (whatever this is... just going off of hype, here)

I've really been getting into Metroid lately, so my most anticipated game is probably Metroid Other M. Also really looking forward to Sin & Punishment 2--looks like some good old fashioned arcade-style shoot-'em-up fun. Mario Galaxy 2 obviously looks wonderful, but at this point it looks like more of the same. Not that that's a bad thing of course, but I need to know more about it.

What, based off of the developer alone?

Being one of the few RPGs coming to the Wii probably doesn't hurt.

Thanks Thomas Joseph for reminding me of that one. Forgot about it completely. It's one I'm hotly anticipating as well.

Why didn't anybody tell me I wrote down the wrong year?? Seriously, at first I was thinking "what idiot made a thread for the most anticipated games of last year?" then I clicked on it and it was my thread.

And exactly what is wrong with that? At some point, ALL GAMES, are based off items the developer releases (like trailers at E3), so I really don't understand what problem you have with my "Most Anticipated List".

Or are you questioning whether it'll be released in 2010?

Is it confirmed for 2010? I've heard no indication of that. I don't think that's what he's asking, but I'm curious now that you bring it up. I think a trailer and concept is enough to be excited about -- and of course the fact that it's the first time Nintendo has published a more standard JRPG (i.e. not Mother or Mario), if you're into that. Personally, I didn't think it looked interesting at all, but Nintendo chose to put its faith in it, so I'll keep an eye out for it despite my doubts.
