I mean, I've had the game for a few weeks so far, and all I've needed was 1 character. Do that many people use multiple saves/characters? Just seems like it's waaay more than necessary.
This isn't a complaint =P.
I'm just wondering if the extra save slots, and subsequently character slots are actually serving some other purpose I'm currently unaware of.
Ahem... I don't know why they chose to include such a large amount of game-saves. I personally, have been frustrated in the past by games that neglect to supply sufficient saves. It's good to see a game playing it safe and supplying more than enough.
There is a Residential Home somewhere, where the residents are very grateful of said saves.
I assume it can be credited to Capcom's attempt at making this "hardcore" Wii game as good as PS3 and 360 games despite some inherent drawbacks of the system...such as the inability to make nearly infinite saves of any game through creating multiple player profiles.
Some people might enjoy playing again as a woman* and going online and flirting with other players
That's the only reason anyone would create an opposite-gender character to you?
My other MMO experience tells me this - if you use a female avatar, and have a low character level, male players give you all kinds of good stuff for free. Shameless, but effective.

Well, you can't give people items as effectively in MHtri or you might see more female avatars. (Though, you might be able to get more out of the supply box and in turn use fewer potions )
