Topic: Know anyone who owns a Wii but barely uses it?

Wait, what? I didn't know the MGS games were gruesome. =/
Besides, the stereotypical "Kids-these-days-who-only-play-fps-games-with-über-graphics-and-online" wouldn't have the patience to play any of the MGS games.

I don't know which platform(s) I play the most (probably the PS2 and 3, as I have many more games to choose from there), but my Wii certainly doesn't collect any dust.

MLB Power Pros is terribly overlooked by gamers. It's great fun!

Alot of people I know with a Wii hardly use it. They got one a few years ago when they were "in", had some fun with Wii Sports, and thats about it. Some of them got into Wii Fit and others got some games for their kids or grandkids, but I bet most of their Wii's only get turned on for an hour or two every month or so, if that.

I know myself. I used to play it more before when it was the only system I had. Looking forward to Monster Hunter Tri and a few more though . My main use of my Wii is for the VC.

@ y2josh, yes the VC is a wonderful thing. I`m being introduced to classics I have never played before.

To be fair, I have my times when I don't play the Wii a lot (Like right now), but then again, I blame that on MS DOS (Just got into classic computer gaming again and it's really fun). But going for months without turning on the system would probably be something that I would have difficulties doing.

my friend javier got a wii the last year and since i knew he got it, i haven´t see him use it, he just prefers the xbox 360, i really dont like the preferences of graphics over gameplay

Currently, I like to give my Wii and 360 equal attention. Once more of the house is cleaned up though the Wii will be in my room since it is amazing. But I am currently playing my 360, soon to switch back to Wii.

I have a student from a very religious family that owns both a Wii and an Xbox360. The parents are restrictive about game content (he was complaining that he couldn't play Call of Duty games, and I lightheartedly suggested Water Warfare), yet the Wii only gets played once a year. Maybe because there are six children they're worried about the motion controls? It seems really odd to spend so little time on the system with more family-friendly games when you're worried about game content.

Personally, I'm getting less traditional all the time. I WANT to get my butt up off the couch and be at least a little active even if I'm not doing any real exercise. I WANT games that make good use of the Wii remote's capabilities. I WANT games that I don't have to sink endless hours into just to have some fun.

None of my close friends have a wii. Most of them are D&D/PC gamers and only one has an Xbox360..I wish they get a wii because they only keep asking me to bring it and it is a bit annoying <_<

I was one of these people for the last few months, but upon the release of CV - Rebirth (and subsequently getting into NSMB again) I've been playing it again every few days. My bud Luke has had one since release, owns like 4 games, and has played it a handful of times...as does my friend Chris. To be fair, Chris has owned a PS3 since well before he bought the Wii and Luke is more of a PC person.

I play sometimes, mostly for Animal Crossing and Mario Kart (Brawl won't work.) I play my DS much more.

All my friends used to be die-hard Nintendo fans until they got their hands on another company's system. This one friend of mine only plays his 360 now, and when i told him about some new games coming out for Wii, he said, "I would play my Wii more if there were actually good games on it." I then went on to rattle off about 45 good Wii games. In short, he got owned.

people who buy systems and dont play them need to reevualuate their spending. its like spending a couple hundred dollars for nothing.

anyway, my friend has a wii, but he usually only plays it when im at his house. i do play my wii often (about 25% of my gaming is on it probably) but i like playing my gamecube better because the games are a lot cheaper

Why do you play on your Gamecube when you have a Wii?

I still play my Gamecube because of the Game Boy Player.
