It rocks! It's an awesome remake! The controls are easy to figure out, and the boss battles are a workout. Plus, I flipped over the cover art so it doesn't have the big New Play Control! logo on it.
It cost $30, a good deal for a new game, even a remake. I'd have expected it to cost maybe $40 at least.
My first choice was Wii Sports Resort, but it would've been $75 with a second WMP attachment. WarioLand Shake It was marked down to $40. Once I learned that Jungle Beat was a reasonable $30, I took it.
Cool - I wonder if I should sell my original and pick this up. I am not a big wiimake guy, but on the other hand I hate the bongos and use the GC controller to play the GC one anyhow...
IGN: The holiday Wii lineup looks thin for the hardcore crowd. We see this. Gamers see this. What, if anything, is Nintendo planning to address it?

Yeah it's a great game. I'm stuck on the last level (it's a pretty challenging game actually) but it's a really wonderful platformer. And a steal at $30. However, if I'm being honest, you probably should've bought Wii Sports Resort. It's a bit expensive if you get two Motion Plus', but in the end, it's worth it. Unless you can't afford it of course.

I actually enjoyed my copy of New Play Control: Donkey Kong Jungle beat; even if it's a rather short game! I still got my Bongo's; but I think I'd never get the Cube version because this Wii version is much better & suited with the Wii controls!

Been meaning to pick this up for the longest time. My Metroid Prime Trilogy pre-order bonus poster was sold out, so Gamestop.com gave me 10 bucks off my next purchase, so $20 for this game will be a great deal. Can't wait to check it out!

Brilliant. Fun for all types of gamers and perfect for the wii in terms of controls and audience. One the very best platformers on the wii as well in terms of level design.

A good purchase if you never played the original for sure! I thought it was well worth it! And as for WSR, not so much worth it unless you play with other people or kids a lot.
Was actually about to buy it this past weekend, but i already have a few platformer-style games waiting to be played/completed. For now it remains on my short list of "games i will eventually buy one day".
