Topic: Is the Wii more powerful than originally thought?

That's just sad about the Wii/Xbox thing.

@Omega: I read somewhere, on that reliable and informative source known as 'teh web', that it doesn't work. But what do they know hey, I should at least give it a try, ty 4 the reminder.

@Sonicdude1990: Don't bother, I exchanged my launch day copy twice before realising it was the stupid gunky lens' fault.

@Supersonic1990: I have heard that it has helped in many cases. Especially for Brawl. That's a pity that it does not work for you.

I don't think anyone ever doubted the Wii was more powerful than the PS2. The question was more how much so.

Either way the Xbox1 had some impressive games like Doom3,Half-life2,Halo2 etc.
those types of games can be put onto the Wii but...nope...Developers Couldn't care less......i am disgusted to see games on Wii that have bloody early PS2 graphics.

Next time Nintendo...i wanna seriously see some good hardware...and i don't mind if the next Nintendo Console has PS3/360 graphics...thats good even if Sony and MS's next console even go further....
The graphics on PS3/360 are good enough for me...but if Nintendo can push it to compete with the PS4 or Xbox720 or w/e...then thats cool.

@Omega-Thanks for the symphathy. Brawl actually worked almost a year since launch day, but then my Wii had trouble reading Brawl until it did not read Brawl at all.

I just gave you the facts but i am also clearing another fact up aswell.

Nintendo best use some of the cash they printed, to jam the next one full of tech. At least make it semi future-proof like the (stinky yet powerful) PS3.

No-one knows which is more powerful between those two...however the Xbox has way better looking games in my opinion.

Also...i agree.....if i even see a lower powered console by Nintendo next-gen...i ain't buying it.
i am sick and bloody tired of not getting some awesome games.
Hmm...wonder why we haven't got GTA4 or Any other Amazing looking ps3/360 muiltiplatform game?....i think its obvious.
anyway this is why i want a 360...i can experience those games.

No, the question is why are we gloating over a current generation console being more powerful than a machine released in 2000.

The conduit looks bad....in my opinion.
The water effects in RE4 looks better.
Hell RE4 looks waaaaaay better than The conduit.
As for Mario galaxy and SSBB are good looking but still can be done on Xbox1.

@Seans007-I think the Wii is defitnely more powerful than the first Xbox. There is NO WAY that Super Mario Galaxy and Super Smash Bros. Brawl can be put on the first Xbox.

Guys to make a game with really pretty graphics on wii you would need to make your own engine or work for nintendo yourself.

Microsoft's consoles are also much easier to work with to make the high-end graphics. I would like to see one of you try to port an Xbox game to the Wii.

Nintendo does not give the same tools and assistance to third parties as their First party development teams.

am i the only one who thinks this is wrong?! what has the size of the game to do with the graphical quality? nothing. a game with 20 GB worth of data can still look bad and a game with 200 MB can wlook awsome. i don't get what some people are talking about here.
