Topic: Iron Man 2 to use Quantum 3 engine?

There are times things pop into my head even regarding games I don't nessecarily care about. I had heard that Iron Man 2 was being developed by High Voltage awhile back and being published by Sega. I felt that it was too bad the game was multiplatform and likely wouldn't take advantage of the Wii's strengths. Looks like the game may be Wii-centric after all as Nintendo Power confirmed there will be a Wii exclusive version of Iron Man 2. From the screens the game looks as if it will use the awesome Quantum 3 tech that powers games like The Conduit and upcoming titles like The Grinder.

This wasn't too big of a deal and I'm not really looking forward to an Iron Man game all that much. I just thought it was just a little nugget worth sharing with you guys. If the game is really bad, at least it will be easy on the eyes.

Hopefully it doesn't look as ugly as The Conduit.

Iron Man and High Voltage? Oh...... disappointment.

The Game.

Is it after 9PM EST? You should probably ignore the above post.

Well Nintendo Power did say the visuals so far are a bit rough around the edges. I think they may still have time to touch them up a bit though. The Quantum 3 engine does allow for detailed, bumped mapped characters though IMO. Even if the tradeoff is some what lackluster backgrounds.

Well, I think High Voltage's name being attached is great news myself. The first game was so bad the only place to go is up! Hopefully we'll end up with something that captures the feeling of the film. I know after seeing Iron Man I was really wanting to fly him around in an immersive game so I was gutted to read how crap the game was.

Marvel Ultimate Alliance is a lot of fun, but I'm hoping for a more free roaming title with lots of flying and smashing tanks and such. I'm playing The Incredible Hulk: Ultimate Destruction for review right now and that has to be the best comic book hero game ever -- give that same degree of freedom and control and you've got a winner!

As do I. The Quantum 3 engine pushed out some really tasty visuals in The Conduit. I just hope HVS aren't forced into rushing it, like every other movie tie-in.

Rawr!
