have developers actualy tried doing xbox 360 graphics on the wii so that when they test the game their wii breaks? why dont they try stress testing the wii to see how much the hard ware can handle and just sacrafice the life of one wii.
This is ground control to major Tom, you've really made the grade. And the papers want to know whose shirts you wear
Now it's time to leave the capsule if you dare
Well, they can always push the hardware to its own limits, but trying to make it run 360-level graphics would be just plain stupid. The hardware simply can't output that stuff.
Anyway, I'm sure they've tested the thing's limits completely by now. The issue is more whether developers even bother TRYING to make a game that takes avantage of them.

No, I agree with Geek Master, they should try harder to make the Wii do what it is physically incapable of doing. There is so much potential in this idea.
I wonder if theres a way to hook something to the Wii to boost it's graphics? I know stuff like that has been done befor, Did't the Super NES have something like that to play Starfox?
Yeah, the Super FX chip. I think that was an extra chip in the cartridge though. Since the wii uses a disk for games, you wouldn't be able to do something like that for it.
I am way too lazy to think of something clever. My Backloggery
Not EXACTLY like that, no. Theoretically, they could add something to the machine that has a different kind of hardware in it...sort of like SEGA loved to do with the Genesis (only maybe less sucky?). I'm pretty well certain it won't happen, though. Nintendo probably knows it's better to just release a new or at least upgraded system than to fight with all that crap.
