I tried the Pokemon Rumble, Nyxquest, and FFCC: Darklord Demos. They are all great, but Nyxquest was my least favorite

About time if you ask me! It's very late, but it's better than never. As I bought a few games and if I had a demo at my finger tips I could have used my money on other games. So now I get to check out a few games that I have been on the fence.

Nyxquest did not appeal to me (too slow for my liking) and since the game cost 1000 points and lasts about 3 to 4 hours conviced me of not downloading it.

So these games expire in january, right? Does this mean that if you have them on your wii, you won't be able to play them anymore, or just that you can't download them anymore?

Probably download. And there's no reason to believe that it'll terminate in January. Nothing's set in stone at this point.

Remember that these demos are only available for a limited time, so make sure you grab one before they expire on January 31st.

Oh, interesting. Didn't take a look at that article so I wouldn't have known. Last I heard was that it was going to last at least up until the holiday season.

To note, the top six games in Canada (don't know if this is the same as NA) are the demos and Excite Bike.... Pretty powerful message to Nintendo considering it's only 12 hours since they've come on the system.

Though I guess the more important question is will the full games come back on the chart? WoG and Pokemon Rumble are both in the 9 and 10 spots... So who knows. We'll see tomorrow. If Nyx Quests hits the charts again, it's a safe bet that their working.

Demos of wiiware are definitely a good thing and should help good titles sell better. Also, I'm sure when (or if) this becomes a permanent thing it will be handled differently and probably require an updated shop channel. I would think demos would have their own section and not show up on the top games list.

I was shocked to find that out too. In Holland, the top 3 are the demo's. They really should have there own section. Would be easier to find too.

They have their own section under 'genre'. I suspect Nintendo allowed the demos to occupy the top of the charts so that more interest in them will be gathered. When they become permament, I suspect that they will get their own download button on the game's main page.

I just noticed that the demos are being registered (not for stars) on your Club Nintendo account (EU). They appear in your list just as every other download, so there is a chance that we'll be given a survey about the demos for stars, eventually.
