I'm surprised that I haven't heard about this game on Nintendo Life yet. The game will come to NA and EU this fall and is developed by Namco Bandai. There are alot of clips from the game on youtube and here's the latest trailer:

The game is set on an open world island, with four different resorts and 50 different activities. You're free to explore.
It supports Motion Plus, Balance Board and Wii Zapper. I think it'll be a nice casual game.

This game looks like they took Wii Sports Resort, added We Ski and Snowboard, We Cheer, Endless Ocean, Ridge racer, Skate it!, plus a few other wii games and packaged them together in an expansive open world. I already have it pre-ordered.

That's a lot of content kinda makes me wonder if its been spread too thin, hopefully they spent as much time on level design and good controls as they did on visual polish.

Now this is some good looking stuff. Wouldn't be surprised if it turns out better than Wii Sports Resort.

It's almost like it's.....dare I say.....too adventurous. Anyways, It looks alright. Guess I might pick it up. Is that play with friends thing in the trailer meaning you have to play with a split screen or can you actually exchange FC's with people and get online for games? I'm guessing no for online?

Anyways, I made a pre order. Hope it'll be a good party game.

Got a 7.0 IGN and 5.0 Destructoid. However, both have a reputation, as many of us know on NL, of being very unreliable as reviewers. Also, the IGN review reads like an 8.0 whereas the Destructoid review reads like the reviewer DOESN'T like the great variety of Wii controls. Still looks like a good purchase thusfar

I received mine yesterday (USA), so far it's excellent! my only complaint is how some of the controls are set up (and you can't change it)... for example, to steer the ATV you can't use the nunchuck stick.... you have to tilt the nunchuck AND Wii remote in the direction you want to turn... it's just annoying, I don't know why anyone would assign the controls like that but the game is excellent, much more to do than in Nintendo's Wii Sports resort...

N-Gamer gave it only a 56 percent. Mainly to do with the control choices. Said you may as well not have used motion controls for some of them. However, besides that the revw content made the game sound appealing to me despite the score!

Destructoid is very reliable when its reviews aren't blatant trolling. I don't care about this game enough to check if this is one of those reviews.

Destructoid can be reliable but sometimes they are way too harsh sometimes like when they gave Sonic colours on wii a 4.5 when its one of Sonic's best games in years.
Seeing as Ngamer have given it a negative review too, I'm starting to get worried but I wouldn't be too disappointed as I was never that interested in this title but I was considering it if the reviews were good but unless the reception improves significantly it doesn't look like I will be getting this.

LEGEND_MARIOID

4.5/5 from Nintendofuse website. Mixed revws overall tbh. Thpught the. Destructoid revw content was flawed as the revwr strongly hinted he hated all motion controls. Why revw a wii game then?!

I can tell you that it is in fact one of their trolling/ignorant reviews. The reviewer complains about the volleyball minigame not letting you control your character's movement, when in fact you unlock the advanced mode with direct control over your character the second time you play the game. This proves that the reviewer didn't bother to play any of the minigames more than once. Same thing happened with IGN's review.

I'll pass.

IGN wrote:

The big downside to this otherwise great idea comes from the fact that the illusion comes crashing down when you try to interact with any of the game's NPCs. For whatever reason, you can't speak with or in any way interact with these characters, making Kawawii feel like some sort of Stepford/Twilight Zone hell where everyone but yourself is actually a robot. You can even run them over with a vehicle (trust me, I tested this extensively), and they'll simple reel back, then two seconds later have a huge smile and a music note of happiness popping out of their head. Unsettling, to say the least, and a real buzz kill for what, in concept, is an amazing idea.
