Topic: games to be announced today

hey everyone I was just wondering what you guys think will be announced today for the wii personally I believe we will hear about the pokemon wii game and also Pilotwings was confirmed to be coming to wii earilar today so thats 2 already and some additional ones may include another Donkey Kong game A fire elbrem game possibly another wario game [platformer or another ware game] I also think that the developer of Kirby's epic yarn is working on one last wii game and the most likely pick would be Yoshi's island Pikmin 3 is not coming to the wii anymore which his a disappointment but oh well it's unlikely we'll get a metroid game for awhile for any console due to Metroid Other M a original star fox title could possibly be at work on wii but I highly doubt it and F Zero may not come out on it either as it was completely absent during the Ds's life cycle so it makes sense that it'll miss out on wii as well

I would LOVE to know the street date for Animal Crossing.

I think the Wii U controller is better suited for games like F-Zero and Pilotwings.
Also the Wii U graphics are better suited for Pikmin 3 and new Metroid and Starfox games. And Endless Ocean 3.
And from what I've heard that Pokémon RPG is a Wii U / 3DS crossover game.

But there's only one thing that blows away the competition: Wii U exclusive rights of GTA V!
But from what I've seen about 3rd Party developers, SEGA's Alien Wii U game looks amazing.

I don't think there's need for more big announcements for Wii.
We still have The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, Xenoblade, The Last Story, Kirby Wii, Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games, Fortune Street, Rhythm Heaven, Mario Party 9, Mystery Case Files: The Malgrave Incident and Wii Play Motion to wait for. That's 10 extremely big Wii titles this year. Not to mention that we might get Pandora's Tower and Rune Factory: Tides of Destiny too.

Wii's best games already have sequels announced on Wii U: A new Super Mario Bros. and a new Super Smash Bros. game.
Safe to say there'll be another WarioWare that makes heavy use of the new controller, not to mention Zelda and Mario Kart.
That saying I wouldn't keep hopes too high for new Wii announcements but there's still time for one surprise or two.

The two big ones I was waiting for for Wii are Xenoblade and The Last Story. If the Pilotwings Wii is true, that was a nice surprise.

Pretty sure we are definitely getting Rune Factory: Tides of Destiny already.

I heard they are showing mostly wii u games today.

comment 3 yes I know I agree with you on that there are no need for wii announcments but may I remind you the wii is Nintendo's most successful console to date and I dont think their gonna abandon it quite as quickly as they did the n64 and the gamecube there is at least a couple more announcments to make and it was mentioned last month that a new Pokemon game for the wii would be revealed this month and nintendo themselves said theres still a few more games this month to be revealed I will admit though I would perfer to see pilotwings on the Wii U but oh well it it ironic though as Pilotwings is usually a launchtitle for the system but in this case it is one of the final titles

Why should Nintendo abandon the Wii all of a sudden? Don't forget that the new console won't be released before at least one year, maybe one and a half, so they need to keep the interest in Wii high enough, to prevent that Wii owners will buy other consoles while waiting for WiiU.

What do they think Wii owners will do for the next 18 months? Go outside and play real sports, trying to kill time waiting for WiiU?! Course they're going to make more games for Wii!!

A Yoshi game would be mega.

Personally I'm catching up on lots of great bargain titles for Wii. They're so cheap nowadays.
And I'm confident to continue doing so because I can play them all on my Wii U later.

I have 106 Wii retail games (and 150 downloaded VC/WW games) that will keep me occupied for long after the Wii U is released ...and I still have about 40 Wii games on my radar!! I will continue to buy Wii hardware like additional controllers. These I will use on Wii U to make it the ultimate multiplayer and gaming console in general.

My opinion: Nintendo should and will concentrate on Wii U.
The Wii has enough amazing games and still new great games are dripping in all the time.
But it's time to make new games with better graphics, better online and new interesting controls.

Ign and nintendo world report have both stated that there are two developer roundtables. with yesterdays only about wii/3ds it makes sense that today's would highlight the wii u.

also in an interview with game trailers the ceo of ubisoft said they were showing assassins creed wii u today.
