What are some good games like SSR on wii - can be wiiware, VC, or disc, I do not care much.
Just old skool shooters, top down or sidescroll. I liked Phalnyx (sp?) on SNES way back in the day but a genere I do not follow too close. But SSR has got me going again....

Well there's the rest of the Star Soldier series... Star Soldier, Super Star Soldier, Soldier Blade, and Blazing Lasers has a connection to the series. Did I miss any?
Should probably skip the original Star Soldier... It ain't so good... And you missed Final Soldier there Digiki... Otherwise, there's the Gradius games, both for VC and WW... Axelay is really nice... Ikaruga if you're up for a GameCube title. And Gates/Lords of Thunder are supposedly great. Personally I wouldn't recommend R-Type cause I've always found that series very clunky but people does seem to like it so I don't know... Too bad there's no Darius yet on the Wii cause that's a nice series too... But maybe in the future.
Well most of the ones I was gonna recommend have already been suggested. But if you wanna try something a bit different try Fantasy Zone 1 or 2 (MS) or Super Fantasy Zone (MD) all great games and quite unique.(check out the reviews on here to see if you like the sound of it).Also MUSHA(MD) is a very good game.
