even the the antithesis of fancy graphics, the wii's bare bones pack in game, looks pretty amazing in HD. there are also some more twilight princess/crossbow training shots, although zelda looks so good already that the change isn't as impressive: http://www.abload.de/img/dolphin2010-04-1921-54vrs5.jpg
one thing that you'll notice with the HD emulating is that water in particular looks amazing: http://public.blu.livefilestore.com/y1pFrs7LwYd31iDq5ODqEUW7q... water is something that has to be smooth to be convincing. a rough and jaggedy looking waterfall isn't very pretty to look at, probably one of the best examples of something that looks great in HD that the wii can't really do in SD. really good example here- i don't think i need to tell you which one's HD and which one isn't.
Mario and Zelda look like Xbox 360 games to some extent... but need more textures for Mario Galaxy and better polygon work for Zelda on the overall figures. IMO.
They COULD, but again, look at it from their point of view: Why waste time designing and troubleshooting an HD solution for a 4 year old system? And again, while old games will look good upscalled, the resolutions are what they are. In order to truly get the bang you have to redesign the games. So, look for HD in the next system.
alright. 3d id making it's 'huge' debut so maybe that will be cool if Nintendo decides to incorporate that. I just hope I don't need a 3d tv. I hate glasses too but if it makes it look cooler or something then I'll be fine with that.
