I like the idea of Wii-DSi transferability for GB games, but I don't see that happening. What MIGHT be more likely would be downloading them to the DSi, and then using the wireless connection to the Wii as a "gameboy player."

Playstation, even though it will never happen until Nintendo destroys Sony, just like it did with Sega.
Nintendo didn't kill Sega, if anyone killed Sega it was Sonys marketing combined with bad internal decision making on Segas part, doubt Nintendo 64 or GC had any real impact on Saturn and DC.
The Jag so I can play Tempest 2000 on something other than the computer.
Yeah that would be awesome. I'd also like to be able to play Iron Soldier again. I've actually been mulling over getting a Jag again, but it's not really worth it to me. I just listen to the soundtrack and get misty-eyed...
The way I see it, we'll get there. I'm sure I'm not the only one who's noticed the DRAMATIC increase in SNES game releases of late. Let people get that out of their system, and more N64 will follow, just like how NES seemed to hog quite a lot of the Nintendo-system spotlight a couple of years ago.

Well, we need more VC Arcade, Commodore 64 and N64 titles first.
I'd like to see some Amiga games on there, as well as DOS (Commander Keen!!!) and all the old handhelds (for DS and/or Wii)
...something tells me there's a chance we'll be seeing Sega CD (and maybe even Saturn...?) games next year (it's highly possible what with Sunsoft aqcuiring Nihon Telegames - and Vic mentioned that they plan on doing something no other company has done in terms of VC support) 2010 will be a good year for VC - I just have a good feeling about that.

I heard that Hotel Mario actually wasn't that bad, but of course horrible when compared to the other Mario games. I for one think that the cutscenes are cool, if childish. That'd be something to consider if it were on VC.

You aren't the only one who notice it, but even when the Super Nintendo Entertainment System games become rare apperances in updates, that will not help the Nintendo 64. The console had horrible third-party support and what little good third-party games are available can not be guaranteen, since we have yet to see any third-party games.
We don't know WHY we haven't seen third-party N64 games yet, though. It could just be because they've been busy releasing their older, easier-to-put-on-VC games first. I think that's probably why there was tons more NES before SNES picked up, and it stands to reason that the same could occur with the N64. Of course, only time will tell.

The thing is I can't imagine ROM dumping N64 games for VC is that much more difficult. I mean, sure, since the VC has come out, I'm sure we've all completely eschewed non-legal ways of obtaining game on our PCs, but the way I see it, if some kid in his basement can write up an emulator and dump N64 roms and offer them to everyone for free, I can't see how much more difficult it would be for the original software producers.
Thing is, there really aren't any very good N64 emulators out there. At least, not that I've heard. The way VC downloads come with their own emulators could make the work harder than we know, and publishers would need to add the save features fixes for the games that used Controller Paks, which I'm sure is possible, but a pain. So they're probably just putting it off for now while they concentrate on easier stuff.
