I think I'll continue to avoid any Tim Burton abomination that comes around...
Oh please. If you had any appreciation for the actual Alice in Wonderland book I think you'd be thrilled by the new film. Aside from the criminally under-rated 1999 tv-movie version, no film has really captured the essence of the book very well. The animated Disney film is abomination, if you ask me. Spastic, overly american, and far too cutesy.
As for Tim Burton as a director, the only thing people seem to hate about him is that his films are too dark and he uses Johnny Depp a lot. But...why shouldn't he? Jonny Depp is one of the most diversely talented actors on the planet.

What constitutes paying "full-price"? One can get a brand-new game for sub-£30 on websites such as Amazon.
(Also, Opoona wasn't (in my opinion) particularly impressive; many critics agreeing with me on this)
Good for you. And the critics. That doesn't change my opinion that it's one of the best games I've ever played.
Clearly you haven't played Chocobo Mystery Dungeon.
(I agree, Opoona is good, by CMD is better)
lol, no, I haven't, actually. Isn't that a Japan-only title? I do want to play Chocobo's Dungeon for the Wii though. Kumi Matsutoya composed the music, which is actually the main reason I'm interested.
After doing some research on the DS version of this game I think that I may have misjudged it as being a simple movie cash-in. The art style for the DS game is quite brilliant and apparently the gameplay is really good too. It scored an 8/10 in this review: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/technology/video-games/7307986/Ali... I don't know if Nintendo Life will be reviewing it but I hope to see some more reviews for it soon. I am strongly considering picking it up.
