I feel bad for the guys whos job it is to pay IGN for a bad review. I guess for a bad review he just goes in there and acts like a and takes him to a cheap restaurant for lunch.
That is not a list of opinions, it is a list of software published by nintendo and is 100% objective and factual.
Yes, as a list of games it is both objective and factual. You saying it proves the Wii has the best selection of games? That is entirely based on opinion, and therefore it's not objective. In any way, shape or form.
But I'm not about to say the only reason someone would prefer the older games is nostalgia. Many of the older games are outright different from their sequels and can better appeal to someone's tastes. Secondly, something in a game that may be considered dated by today's standards, such as a terrible save system, can be better tolerated or even enjoyed by someone who grew up with the games (or simply prefers the older style of gaming). This isn't nostalgia, it's preference. Much how if you showed a kid and bright and colorful 3D CGI cartoon, he'd think a black and white drawn cartoon would be archaic and poor. Someone who grew up with the older style is used to it and it's easier for them to see past the "flaws" that comes with an older media.

We at Nintendo Life get secretly paid by the developers to say bad things about games all the time. I got paid a pretty penny for my scathing review of Space Trek. Chicken Brutus is still living comfortably off the fortune he made for his Fireplacing review.
