Ok with a new year just a little over a month away, I thought it would be a good to time for your best guesses at what games will arrive on the VC for 2010. What do you think Nintendo and other companies have up their sleeve for the Virtual Console? Lets try to think of games that are not currently rated, out in Japan, or on the coming soon list.

Here are my guesses for 2010
Mega Man 4 (NES)
Mega Man X (SNES)
Legendary Axe (Tg-16)
Golf (NES)
Rad Racer (NES)
Metal Slug 3 ( Neo Geo)
Double Dragon (Arcade)

I'm guessing that Nintendo will finally try to get some heavy-hitters out on the service because...

A. There's a good chance that the two other companies (Sony & MS) will most likely announce that they have new consoles on the way.
B. Nintendo has shown that they actually care about WiiWare (Excitebike: World Rally), So it might be time to show people that they also care about the VC too.
and C. They've basically run out if games to put on the service that DON'T completely suck.

Thanks given to Xkhaoz for that one avatar.

Haha, that's what you think. The NES especially was host to countless god awful games. Just watch some episodes of The AVGN if you don't believe me.

Good. My turn:

  • Rocket Knight Adventures - If Konami is at all in the mood
  • Castlevania Bloodlines - Because the fact that it might be challenging intrigues me
  • Golf - Fun game the first time, the second time and after....not so much
  • SoulBlazer - Maybe, just maybe, this great ARPG might appear sometime in 2010 (I can feel it)
  • Mega Man X - The best Mega Man (X) title I've yet experienced, Capcom would be proud to release it
  • Whirlo - I'm interested in this platformer, I wonder if Namco will ever take interest in it again

These are some of the titles I'm guessing are gonna appear in 2010.

To each their own

I don't know. I'm hoping for something good.

More a wish list than speculations but I think/wish these games for 2010:

*Castlevania Bloodlines (Genesis)
*Castlevania Rondo of blood (TGFX16)
*Yoshi's Island (SNES)
*Resident evil 2 (N64 - very unlikely but I hope so)
*Street Fighter Alpha 2 (SNES)
*Any Capcom game on the VCA
*The rest of the King of fighters games (Neo Geo) or at least the 95, 96, 97and 98
*The same for Samurai Shodown
*And Metal Slug
*Vectorman 2 (Genesis)
*Contra Hard Corps (Genesis)
*Megaman 4, 5 and 6 (NES)

I don't know/care about the C64 and MS but I hope they still support it for the fans.
And I hope that they bring more SEGA and Namco games for the VCA.

LuigiFreak

Yoshi's Island
Metal Slug 3
Mega Man 4, 5, and 5
Mega Man X series
E.V.O.
Final Fantasy 2 and 3
Dragon Warrior?

Contra and Contra Hard Corps!

I would wager that Crystalis comes out next year.
Faxanadu as well.
Maybe even The Guardian Legend but that's wishful thinking.

The first two I think will happen because Crystalis was developed and published by SNK, who already support the VC. It is also a fairly well-known game. Faxanadu was developed and published by Hudson Soft and licensed by Nihon Falcom, both supporters of VC.
The Guardian Legend is a product of Compile/Irem/Broderbund, and I'm not aware of any previous VC publishings involving those companies.

Hmmm.. I did not have any predictions for Sega's VC selection. Ok I predict that Sega will release Shadow Dancer in 2010

They probably won't have Dr. Mario for NES with the WiiWare one there.

Wouldn't games that "don't completely suck" mean that they've run out of games of actual quality?

Namco will have to release some more of their arcade games next year, since it's Pac-Man's 30th anniversary.

Out of all the companies Nintendo is the hardest to predict. I think they will finish many of their early generation titles but outside of Smash Bros., Pilotwings , and Super Mario Kart its hard to know what they have in store for us. I think they may getting ready to unleash some of their early arcade titles at soon.

I'm probably the only one here who hasn't played Super Bomberman (alludes to StarFox's list), aren't I?
