@DreamyViridi: I totally agree with the "above checkpoint" ? block. It's a bit ridiculous. And now that I think about it, most of the hidden ? blocks in the earlier games were just stars. I must say though, that the game kinda has too many collectibles in the first place, so it's kind of difficult to fit everything in the level without hidden ? blocks. But then again, putting stamp coins in ? blocks is pretty silly considering you can just fit them into the level's other coins.

@Tsurii: I highly recommend Epic Yarn. While it's even easier then this going for 100% is not just like this. There is some nagging parts though that require the use of pointer controls that don't work well but those are few and far between.

If I was only ever able to have Monster Hunter and EO games in the future, I would be a happy man.
@MasterWario: It's funny when you think about it. Compared the previous games; there's only really one extra collectable, being the pieces of Yarn Yoshi. Woolly World otherwise sticks with the traditional collectables: Flowers are the same, Hearts make for this game's Stars and the hidden stamps are red coins.

I imagine this may have already been asked (sorry if it has), and I know I could find out for myself by trialling, but...
... I'm enjoying playing through this, I'm on 2-4 currently, but haven't tried going back over completed levels to 100% the collectables.
Are the collectables 'saved' once you finish a level, meaning that you only have to go back and find the ones you missed (a la SM3DW), or do you have to find them all in one run?
You guys had me at blood and semen.
What better way to celebrate than firing something out of the pipe?

Yeah, you don't have to collect everything again.

Keep it PG-13-ish.
@Megumi: Thanks for answering my question. I realised afterwards how easy it was for me to go back to a cleared level and see if it registered the collectables I'd already found, but it's good to know that as walk as registering them it's not expecting me to find them again.
Working out which were the ones I missed and where is going to be a bit trickier, me thinks, as there's some levels where I wasn't paying attention to the collectables log but assumed I'd found them all, only to find I'd missed one (often more).

Finally beat the game! Although the last few levels were underwelming for the final world, especially the final boss (Although I did like the final level). But I'm certain everything is more difficult in singleplayer (except that final boss geez).
So overall fantastic game, but I wish it was a little more in depth in the last few levels to give it an endgame feel...but really it's probably because the first level had such an eerie "last world" feel and the rest of the world failed to deliver on that.
I should get all the special levels but I want to get started on a solo playthrough. And not doing the special levels yet gives me something to look forward to in that.
Anyone else have a similar experience for the last world?

I am still in World 4 with my wife
With two players the game and bosses are too easy. The hard part is not to kill each other accidentally.
I really like the game but the co-op mode works not so good as in DKC-TF for example. I am looking forward to the next worlds and I really love the nostalgia the game offers for old Yoshi's Island fans.
