Topic: Yoshi's Woolly World - OT

Good Feel is perfect for the job!

Finally a new Yoshi game for a home console! It's been a while.

I also hope that it isn't easy. That was the one thing i disliked about kirby's epic yarn.

I honestly don't care about the difficulty level as long as it gives me good vibes while I/m playing like epic yarn did.

Now I finally have a reason to buy a Wii U.

Was hoping it'll resemble more of Yoshi's Island than Story, but whatever, coolz.

If it's anything like Yoshi Story, don't expect a challenge.

Still. All this and no screaming Italian babies? I'm in. I hope this is as overly cute as it looks, that's what I like in my Yoshi games. So sugary sweet my teeth hurt just looking at it. In fact, it's the only series I tolerate that.

I thought it looked fabulous. I'm not a big fan of platform games, but that one might just convert me...

Lol, watch though how they have yarn baby mario and luigi. That would look adorable actually.

Am I the only one worried that Yoshi won't be throwing eggs in this game? Concidering this one has no eggs following Yoshi, but perhaps they won't be following you, instead will show how many eggs you have on the bottom screen.
Still, I have a "Good Feeling" this will be a great game.

This game looks really awesome i will buy this as well as everything they showed in the Nintendo Direct.

Did they say what year this will release?

That sounds like a Chuggaconroy pun. In fact when I first saw the footage of this I quickly remembered Chugga's LP of Kirby's Epic Yarn and the million "so bad it's funny" puns he used throughout. Would be funny if he LPed this at some point.

Or maybe when he eats them he'll unravel them, they'll come out as a yarn egg, and he can throw it right away? As in only one egg at a time, instead of them mysteriously following him or in some imaginary inventory space. Maybe it's not the best idea, just a theory.

I think some of the original Yoshi's Island music would. The intro would sound pretty good with a piano, as would the cave and castle themes...

Of course, they could come up with an all new soundtrack, but after the Wario Land Shake It one, I'm not sure GoodFeel's original music scores are as good as Nintendo's themselves.

I loved Epic Yarn's music, it was so cheery and almost uplifting really.

I'm sure Good Feel will pull off that 'Yoshi' sound just fine.
I wonder if this will be a 2013 release or possibly pushed back?

Yet, I feel like the only Wii U game they've mentioned this Nintendo Direct that probably won't make it into this year is Super Smash Bros.

I hope it's challenging. That's all I want anymore.

I wonder if the Yarn is just an art style in this case. Unlike in Kirby's Epic Yarn where Kirby could change his body into different forms, Yoshi in the video seemed to stay in his "traditional" form. Yoshi also turned solid after eating something? Perhaps taking a hit will turn you back into the yarn outline and then you receive "death" while hit in that state.

The game seems to take visual cues from Yoshi Story with some of the patchwork sections and what appears to be 2 1/2 D in some of the pictures.
