Are you guys taking advantage of this sale? I bought a $20 eShop card at Gamestop, so along with Super Mario Galaxy 2, I had:
Chasing Aurora ($3.20)
Swords & Soldiers ($1.20)
Teslagrad ($6.00)
It all cost just a mere $20.40. I got the sale from Bit.Trip Runner 2 which I got on sale for only $5 just last month! I'll save Gucamelee for another sale that would hopefully be as cheap. What did you guys buy? Were there any games that you wished to be on the sale? I personally would have liked to see Ittle Dew, CastleStorm, Art of Balance, Thomas was Alone, or Stealth Inc 2. (I'm not even sure if all of those are Indie titles.)
I bought Guacamelee and I'm loving it. Next I'm deciding between Steamworld Dig or Teslagrad. This is such a great sale with all these games.
Steamworld Dig is great, but it's also really short.
Leaning towards it, but I feel (and hear) it works much better as a handheld game. Would anyone agree with that? This sale is the Wi U version only right? Because after reading some reviews I'm really tempted but for 3DS.
@Retro_on_theGo I got the 3DS version for $4.50 during a sale. I enjoy it a lot. From what I heard on the review, the Wii U version is no different other than pretty graphics. I personally prefer to have the game on a handheld. It's really short and not something that I would see myself playing on a console. This is cheaper than the sale I got for the 3DS. This is one of the best promotion that we had had in a lot time! I wouldn't miss this one out if you have the opportunity. They are all amazing games!

Since I only have the Wii U version, this is what Brjann Sigurgeirsson (from Image & Form) said in the NL interview a month ago: "And finally, in big letters I'm proud to tell you that SteamWorld Dig came to Wii U at the end of August 2014, about a year after the 3DS release. Since Dig was originally designed for two screens, I'd argue that the Wii U version is the best one to date: with the 3DS we were forced to fill both screens with meaningful content, and here was the reward: The Wii U makes clever use of dual screens, HD, 60 frames per second, animations galore, more music and multiple languages." https://www.nintendolife.com/news/2014/12/feature_a_year_in_de...
Thanks for the replies guys. I'm gonna go ahead and pick up Steamworld Dig. If I end up liking it a lot and it goes on sale again for 3DS I might double dip!
I bought SteamWorld Dig (double dipping since I own the 3DS version, but it's good enough to enjoy replaying on a big screen), Guacamelee (own a Steam version, but hate playing games on my PC), and Telsagrad.
Prices were great, and the games are awesome. This is a fantastic sale... hopefully lots of people give these gems a shot!
