Topic: Wii U games for fan of Kirby: Triple Deluxe?

My wife absolutely loves Kirby: Triple Deluxe on my 3DS and I was trying to figure out what game she'd enjoy on the Wii U. She's a huge fan of Mario Kart 64 (although when I played the Wii version with her a few years ago briefly I don't think she enjoyed the motion control aspect so much of the Wiimote) but I'm trying to figure out what else she might like.

I was thinking maybe DKTF but would it be too difficult for her as a casual gamer?

Mario 3D World or MK8 or Pushmo/Pullblox? Otherwise, I believe the upcoming Wii U Kirby and Yoshi games might be just right as well.

Also, I'd suggest Kirby's Epic Yarn in Wii mode. That's one of the Wii games that looks good even on a HD TV set on the Wii U (it doesn't feel at all as jaggy as Mario Galaxy does, for example).

Rayman Legends is arguably the best 2D platformer on the system. It's not as difficult as Tropical Freeze and it has impeccable level design.

Mario Kart 8 also has traditional button controls too, so she may appreciate that. It can be played with pretty much any controller.

And Super Mario 3D World is a wonderful platformer as well. Full of charm and creativity.

My universal recommendation is LoZ: Wind Waker HD. Everyone should have it in their Wii U library. It's a can't-miss.

I loved the original Wind Waker so was thinking if getting the HD version as it was. She liked Ocarina of Time so I imagine she'd like that too. Had kind of forgotten about Super Mario 3D World!

You could try to find Kirby's Return to Dreamland for Wii, it's pretty similar to Triple Deluxe. The reason I said try is because it suddenly became super expensive.

Tropical Freeze is the best 2D Platformer on the system. (Might as well notch up the difficulty a bit for the next one).

3D World is probably a bit too easy but it never gets boring due to so much variety.

Nintendo Land is the perfect game.
I know it seems a bit random. But it uas that lighthearted adventure feel Kirby Triple Deluxe had, along with unique and competitive games and has some great multiplayer modes.
You can also buy a version with a Free Luigi Themed Wii Remote, just to sweeten the deal.
