So haven't played my Wii U since last christmas, but I wanted to play Superstar Saga this year. I realised the gamepad was not charging, so ordered a new battery and carried on with the Pro Controller. Replacement battery came today, but it still won't charge. Just wondering if people have troubleshooting suggestions? Next step would probably be to buy a new charger, but that's another couple of days of waiting and still might not fix it. Would be great if I could try charging through something else, like the Wii U itself or a PC, but I can't see any option to do that.

It's very frustrating as when given the choice, I always play with the Pro Controller, but there are Wii U exclusives I've not played yet that require the Gamepad and it's probably going to cost a silly amount to fix at this point. Nintendo UK's repair page doesn't even have the option to send in a White Gamepad on it's own. You can send in a Black one, but for the white, the only option is the whole console.

I've been pretty lucky with gaming hardware. Had an OG PS2 that never had the laser die, and an OG Xbox 360 that is still going without the red rings. The only two things that ever broke on me were an original DS and now this

It might be the charger, my 3DS charger broke and I had to buy a new (official) one, the cheapest thing that Nintendo sells so I was lucky. You can try phoning or sending an email to Nintendo.
