What made you buy a WiiU? - Wii U Forum

For my it was Aliens: Colonial Marines (I know how bad that sounds) because I saw that the controller would be used as a motion tracker, and it just seemed like the most amazing thing ever. So I got a WiiU and the game the day it came out, needless to say the game sucked but the wiiU is now my 3rd favorite Nintendo System.

I wanted to pick up a new console since I hadn't had one since the early 2000s, and I wanted to play a bunch of the Wii games.

Nintendo Land, Super Mario World (VC) and the Gamepad. Also missing 3 Nintendo consoles generations also helped lol.

I bought the Wii U at launch. I was always likely to buy one because of the backwards compatibility (games and controllers) but the announcement of Bayonetta 2 ensured that it was on day one.
