I have another issue I never mentioned.
Why do worded Miiverse posts often get cut from the Warawara plaza? I don't like the idea of looking at thoughts, only to find that I have to go to Miiverse to see the full post. Loses its meaning.
They could definitely show you the whole post, as long as you click on the Mii. Good call.
The same thing has happened to me. I see a possibly good post, then the text limit is right there to stop me, because I have to launch Miiverse. Maybe they could get the pic to show up, too. Again, as long as you select the Mii from the Wara Wara Plaza. Otherwise, I can understand why they would shorten the post when it pops up, randomly.
I find not very useful at the moment, yeah I get it that it shows the most popular Miiverse communities, but when you have, effectively, the Off Topic forums of Miiverse up there it doesn't do anything.
I hate to say it, but on top of being able to pin a couple that you always want, and blocking others, Nintendo should be smart enough to jut rotate all the games through there to generate buzz and sell games. They are fools for not using it as a strong marketing tool.
i wouldn't say its bad that popular and active communities show up, but they should keep a balance and bring in some of the less popular but still active ones. i wish it was a more interactive plaza though, like a game world type scenario
Well, I'm not entirely sure whether this is a wide-spread phenomenon. Though as of this morning (Christmas morning no less) the WaraWara plaza has been featuring "recommended" games, with a host of Miiverse comments and drawings to promote them to. So it seems Nintendo is quite willing to innovate and listen to their various online Nintendo-exclusive communities
I was just about to post about the Miiverse icons. It seems like they're adding a "favorite" option. The Nintendo Network id down where I'm at, though, so they must be working on it.
The highlights thingo is a step in the right direction I think. Now you boot up and instead of just seeing where the active communities are you see a combination of that and what Nintendo wants to promote. Otherwise games like Wii Sports Club and Wii Fit U would have been lost and some people wouldn't have known they existed. Maybe they can start highlighting forgotten indie titles or VC stuffs? Either way it's better than it was even if I'm not 100% sure if the ratio of promoted to popular is quite right.
