@Octane: now you're just putting words into my mouth, I never said that Nintendo are the better of them all, just that this particular bit of 'DLC' could be worse. All I'm saying is that we're at a point where no company, yes even Nintendo, are above things like this, and expecting Nintendo or any of the others to give you these things for nothing is coming off as entitled and unreasonable. Nintendo never said that there would be extra dungeons included in the base game, Nintendo are not locking off behind this amiibo things you could reasonably expect in a remaster, nor are they locking away things that were accessible in the Wii/GC version(s). Like I said, it could be worse.

You don't want any amiibo but want the DLC they offer. Unless Nintendo change their stance (unlikely) then you miss out. Tough luck. Life won't give you everything you want. I explained pretty well above I think why they aren't likely to sell this 'DLC' on its own. I wanted zombies in COD but when I saw that you didn't get it in the base game, I didn't end up buying it. Maybe this dungeon means that much to you that you will take a similar stance? More power to you if so, I hope you don't plan on buying EA games anytime soon.

Oh and so now that Twilight Princess HD has this amiibo feature it's an incomplete game? So what was it in 2006 then? An incomplete game too? Your logic does not compute.

No, I mean the Wii version makes you wave the wiimote around. The absence of waggle controls pretty much makes the Wii U version instantly superior for me.

I don't mind the Wii-Remote control since I really like it and can control it easily. However, I missed the free camera in the Wii version since therefore the GameCube version was always better

@TheLastLugia: I never you said so, but the fact that there are worse examples out there, doesn't mean anything. And don't worry, I haven't bought anything from EA in a very long time.

I've never said I wanted this for free, I'd even pay for it if it was availabe digitally as I said before (depending on the content). No reason to call anyone "entitled".

@iKhan: but that's just convenient stretching to suit your agenda against this product dude. Again, I can say that videogames as a whole are evil because the entire content of the game is withheld by the company until you give them the dough. I see it as providing value for money for my £13 NFC figure, you see it as evil, evil, evil withholding of content. Neither is right, but neither is wrong either. You can't prove that this dungeon would've been in the game without the amiibo, obviously, so your stance fails at its most basic premise.

But you can't. Making you pay for a video game is just the definition of a market economy. Nintendo or some other publisher makes a product that provides enjoyment by its nature, and you need to give them something in exchange for it. They aren't withholding value, they are creating value and asking for something in exchange for it.

With Amiibo-locked content, it's different. They are creating value with the game, but cutting a piece off and not offering it unless you buy a figure you may or may not want. Even if you own the figure already, Nintendo isn't giving you additional value by locking content to the Amiibo, they are just giving you exclusive privilege to value that should have been offered to everyone.

It's basically a slightly less terrible On-Disc DLC.

Currently Playing: Steamworld Heist, The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask, Tales of Graces F

You're claiming to know the economics of a game's development with this comment. None of us know that. We don't know whether that content would have been in the game anyway but they just decided to separate it. Or if they truly added something onto the final product that otherwise wouldn't have been there. I'm against that kind of DLC for that reason, it takes advantage of the opaque economics behind it and the audience's inevitable ignorance. But we don't know for sure in the way you're trying to suggest.

Way overdue some info on this. Less than 2 months till release! I'm thinking a direct is just around the corner. Hopefully Tantalus have polished it considerably since we last saw it and the big N are happy to release some fresh footage!

@iKhan: OK Nintendo employee, thanks for telling me information about the development of Twilight Princess HD that random-Joes on the Internet would have no way of knowing. Now that you've leaked that, I can show it to people so they can use it as evidence in their arguments instead of making stuff up to support their agenda.

@Dezzy: 100%/exactly/spot-on/agreed etc.

@Octane: I totally agree. I have no idea why they would lock such a thing behind a figure that by its very nature is limited. It doesn't matter how much "better" people say the stock issues have gotten. Unless every single amiibo ever released is on store shelves at all times, we all know the older models are replaced as Nintendo announces newer ones.

Plus, it's been shown time and time again that most people that buy amiibo buy it for the figure and not the software content. Nintendo already has their money. Why they would put more software locked behind them boggles my mind. Because all it does is alienate people that can't get the amiibo, rather than provide incentive to get it. Because, as we all know, it was selling out even before people knew what it was gonna do.

@Operative: "it was selling out before people knew what it was gonna do"

Really? I don't remember that particular marketing campaign. Did it go something like this?

"Here's some figures of Mario, Link, Samus and Pikachu for y'all! Available for the low, low price of £13/$15!!!! What does it do exactly? Well that part's a secret you see. Will they tell you the lottery numbers? Grant you the gift of immortality? Turn Nintendo evil by artificially locking away content that you have a right to? Heck if we know all you need to know is buy, buy, buy!!!!!!!!"

These comments are hilarious ammunition guys, keep 'em up, you're really convincing me here!

@TheLastLugia: Lol I'm not even gonna bother arguing with you. Anytime I do you just resort to insults and generalizations. Hardly a debate. It's more like just wasting time. Good day

TuVictus

Shinion

The @Operative: my God, can't even have a laugh anymore it seems. You were insulted by that? Really? Can't say I feel sorry, it's kinda great to bring people off of their high horses a little. And you're the one bringing up the last time I spoke to you about 5 months ago now? I can't even remember what that was about, oh wait yes I do, I posted a totes hilarious comment (again) and you responded with an insult. Hardly the personification of morality are you sunshine?

@TheLastLugia: I love how you respond in a way that completely proves my point. Haha

TuVictus

Shinion

@Operative: that's the first point of yours I've ever seen proven then.

And come on at least back up your points a little. I'll even make things simple just for you, post one, not two or even three, unprovoked insulting thing I've said to you, you know considering your post above seemed to imply I do it all the time. You must be able to, I apparently proved your point as well. I don't mind waiting either. Feel free to look through my comments if you need to.

TuVictus

@TheLastLugia: I don't need to, as you keep proving it every time you reply.

Anyway, let's get back on topic. If you still have issue with my posts, at least move it to somewhere else. You were discussing how you enjoy the amiibo functionality. I do not. I hope the game is improved in other, free ways

TuVictus

Shinion

@Operative: that last sentence at least is reasonable. I hope for that too don't get me wrong, I just don't get where all you all are coming from that only the Nintendo you envisage is the right one and any/all acts they do that benefit others than yourselves are wrong and abhorrent. People like amiibo and Nintendo most certainly do so you're not going to see it reduced like you said in your original comment. That's not how business works. Hope you can learn to respect my (and others') opinions soon as that kind of attitude isn't healthy.

Now I'll just sit back and wait for the Attack of the Mods on me for my supposed 4 insulting comments. I have a feeling that won't happen for one reason or other.

You say that like as if the amiibo thing is confirmed. Which is the problem I have with most users, really.
