It could be anything, really (as long as it's not "M", as they have stated).

I know many people have theorized Japanese games, but there are some Western games that might fit the bill:

Destiny - DLC issues aside, it was a major release, and only "T".

Valiant Hearts: the Great War - This would suit the platform well, but given their whole "biggest game" statement, it doesn't look likely.

Plants VS Zombies: Garden Warfare - Something else that might suit the platform well.

Currently Playing:
Switch - Blade Strangers
PS4 - Kingdom Hearts III, Tetris Effect (VR)

Then there's the Tales collection... which is kinda likely because of Nintendo and Namco's relationship.

Namco, as far as I can tell, has never outsourced development for their ports. They're done in house.

Square, on the other hand, outsources almost all of their ports and even regularly has external studios develop their major IPs, like Level-5 developing Dragon Quest VIII and IX.

This is fantastic news! If we can get turantulas to program for us, just think of the productivity! I mean they got eight legs! That's...wait, that's less than the fingers we have...what am I talking about again?

Why doesn't NintendoLife have a "Like" button?

Batman Arkham Asylum? That game is rated T, so it's technically not a mature title. Can't be Ultra Street Fighter IV.

Could it be Castlevania: Lords of Shadow? Though Konami is pretty incompetent when it comes to Nintendo, so I doubt.

Dunno how I feel.

Too bad, Shadow of Mordor seemed like a pretty decent game. I've never played a FF game, so I'd take anything just to try it out. All I'm hoping for is that it's a good port, and not a half arsed gimped port.

All things considered, Tantalus put a lot of work into Mass Effect 3 and Deus Ex: Human Revolution. Both are highly polished ports. I would even call the Wii U version of Deus Ex the best console version available.

Weren't Mass Effect 3 and Deus Ex: Human Revolution ported by Straight Right? Or is that the same company? Now I'm confused.

Same company, they just use different labels for a different tone/audience. It's a Disney/Touchstone situation.

Of course the issue with Mass Effect 3 is that the other games weren't playable. I ended up playing 3 on Xbox 360 a while back without having played 1 or 2 and then realised it's pretty much pointless without the other two games.

That is the issue, but that's not an issue with Tantalus. EA's idea of "unprecedented partnership" was selling Mass Effect trilogy on PS360 for $50 and Mass Effect 3 on Wii U for $60.

Mass Effect Trilogy didn't even come to Europe so I guess that would've been another issue, releasing a game exclusively for NA at a console launch isn't a great idea.

Well this is awesome and this guess game is going to be really interesting and tricky. Cuz I can't really think of a huge AAA title by a top notch publisher that is not rated M. Also what people need to keep in mind while guessing which game it is that is getting this Wii U port except for the fact that this port is not going to be of a M rated game, is that this game is a Current Gen (Next Gen call it whatever) title so this makes it more difficult.

Also this is most likely not going to happen but if it's Bayonetta 2 going the other way I AM GOING TO BURN MY WII U 😈

I hope it's somehow a game I haven't played yet, but one that I am interested in and this Wii U versions turns out to be the best version. Otherwise, I don't care.

I sadly and honestly can't think of any Western publisher who would wanna do this for Wii U. Its has to be a Japanese company and Square Enix jumps to the top of the list. I'm still wishing its a Kingdom Hearts collection because that would be amazing. But... Its most likely FF 13 Trilogy.
Also let it be known that the same man who said Devil's 3rd was Wii U exclusive also said that the Wii U is getting another big 3 exclusives from situations somewhat similar to Devil's 3rd. So Tantalus game does qualify as one of them.

I own a Wii U and 3DS. I also own a PS4!

An exclusive port...? And the rumor regarding the 4 exclusive third party games (including Devil's Third) said that they were going to be announced during 2014.

As someone who watched the French guy say that 3 more exclusives were coming... He did not say they were coming 2014. Devil's 3rd is a game that was originally for 360 and PS3, cancelled and was then "ported" to Wii U.

Probably not Ubisoft because they do all of their ports in house.
Probably not EA because of unprosperous partnership.
Probably not WB because all of their Lego games come to Wii U anyway, so this wouldn't really be news.

But I could see Activision porting something to Wii U.

Rumour, and not really. Tantalus said they are porting a game under a major publisher. Devil's Third did not have a publisher after THQ went under.
