Man this is getting ridiculous.
Refrigerator Rotom confirmed for Smash.
Why? Because.

I would have never guessed Weezing was so useful until I played a HeartGold Nuzlocke! My YouTube Channel! Video game related, of course! My Pushmo Levels
EDIT: The comments on the video are absolutely pathetic. Just a bunch of evil casual fanboys who worship Brawl's awful story mode.
It's all the character videos we've already seen mixed with some zoomed in gameplay footage.
Not "THE INTRO IS SO FU***@#$KING AWESOME!!!!" at all.
QUEEN OF SASS
It's like, I just love a cowboy
You know
I'm just like, I just, I know, it's bad
But I'm just like
Can I just like, hang off the back of your horse
And can you go a little faster?!
Brawl did have the worst opening. (Not that it was bad, just not as great as the previous 2, and apparently the later 2).
It was just a collage of Subspace Emissary videos, so yeah that one was kinda disappointing.
Yeah, I hated Brawl's intro when I first saw it. But if you ignore the fact that the cinematics are just the Subspace cutscenes, it's actually pretty epic.
Every intro without the SUUUUUUPEEEEERRRRRR SMAAAAAAAAAAAAAASH BROTHERRRRRRRRSSS!!!!!!!! yell sucks worse than stepping on a Lego in the middle of the night on the way to the bathroom. That yell got me so f***ing pumped to play smash. I did the shout super effing loud when I first played Brawl
Ubisoft should canceled Watch Dogs Wii U at this point
Don't really know what that has to do with this thread, but yeah, it's pretty much pointless. They obviously don't give a crap, it's obviously going to sell like crap, there really isn't any point in it. Also, if they go and blame us for not buying it like how they said Nintendo fans don't buy games like Assassin's Creed, then I will go and say 'Maybe you should've released it earlier, dumbdonkeys!' But in all seriousness, what does this have to do with Smash Bros?
Every intro without the SUUUUUUPEEEEERRRRRR SMAAAAAAAAAAAAAASH BROTHERRRRRRRRSSS!!!!!!!! yell sucks worse than stepping on a Lego in the middle of the night on the way to the bathroom. That yell got me so f***ing pumped to play smash. I did the shout super effing loud when I first played Brawl
Funny thing is, Xander Mobus (the SSB4 announcer) said he did some takes for "SUUUUPPPPEERRR SMMMMAASSSHHH BRRROOOTTHHHHEEERRRRSSS!!!!!!!!"
I guess Sakurai didn't want to use them in the game.
Smash Mains:
N64: Captain Falcon
Melee: Mario
Brawl: Sonic
Project M: Link
Smash 3DS: Captain Falcon
Smash Wii U: Ganondorf
Okay, here's a list of stages that will most likely be used in tournaments (I'm not sure how many people are interested in this subject, but I'm listing them anyway.)
Battlefield - Legal
Final Destination and FD stage forms - Legal
Lylat Cruise - Legal
Town & City - Legal
Smashville - Legal
Halberd - Counterpick
Skyloft - Counterpick
Castle Seige - Counterpick
Big Battlefield - I'm not sure about this one. It seems overly large to be legal. It may be a counterpick.
A counterpick stage is basically a stage for specific characters (I think).
Also, five legal stages, just like in Melee and Brawl.
Alright, I'm feeling talky today, so I'm gonna give a full analysis of the clears his throat and speaks in his best announcer voice SUPER SMASH BROTHERS FOR WII U 50-FACT EXTRAVAGANZA! coughs a bunch Also being sick sucks.
So, first off, the announcer doing the voice over was absolutely brilliant. He's definitely a fan favorite and should be utilized for later projects, if Nintendo wants the hype to roll. Also, anyone notice that Knuckle Joe's machine gun jabs have a finisher like the normal fighters do? Did he do that in Brawl, as well, or is that new to match the fighters?
1. Default Roster - The first thing I noticed is that he said "over 40" but I count 40 starter characters. Granted, Miis change things a bit, but I would argue you have to do something before you can use them, so they are technically unlockable... they're just not hard to unlock... or even remotely time-consuming... And if you already have the game on 3DS, it's even faster. Besides this, it's pretty interesting that Bowser Jr., Ganondorf, Jigglypuff, and Ness are all unlocked from the start. I wonder why it's those four. You would think it'd be the first four characters, but Falco, Wario, and Lucina are nowhere to be seen on this roster. In fact, we see them on the Challenger approaches screen. Also, fun fact, Duck Hunt is now both the final character and the only one not officially announced, yet. Funny. It almost seems like they don't like the challenger approaching thing much, so they're cutting down on it. Notice how he refers to it as "interrupting your game?" Finally, lookit dose combos! These guys know what they're doing, so the competitive crowd can stop complaining that Smash 4 isn't combo heavy enough, because I've seen some pretty awesome combos in this game, so far.
2. Resolution - Anyone shocked? No? Didn't think so. Still nice to have confirmation, but if the console's arguable biggest game can't get full res and FPS, we're doing something wrong.
3. 8-Player Smash - So first I'd like to ask: is anyone else worried Sakurai might just show off a bunch of the features already explained in the video for the next week or two of PotD's? Cause I am. Not that we don't already have all the info we need, but more info or even just a funny detail pic would be preferable to a bunch of recaps.
Aside from that, it's definitely a nice addition and I'm gonna need more GCN controllers for this! Also all the Amiibo fights. All of them! It also appears you can fight on Battlefield, Big Battle Field, Super Mario Galaxy, Bridge of Eldin, Temple, Yoshi's Island, The Great Cave Offensive, Onett, Castle Siege, Palutena's Temple, Gaur Plain, 75m, and Windy Hill. Not to mention the Final Destination forms of Mushroom Kingdom U, Luigi's Mansion, Jungle Hijinx, Pyrosphere, Norfair, Halberd, Kalos Poke'mon League, Skyworld, Gamer, Garden of Hope, Wily's Castle, and all the same stages you could play on normally. Kind of seems like odd choices to me (and of course, locked stages won't appear here because we don't know if we can play them, yet.)
Castle Siege seems especially strange to me. I don't really think of that as a big stage. Seemed just the right size for four players in Brawl and the clip we see of them fighting on this stage really makes me wonder if it's really big enough to support a good, clean, 8-Player fight. In fact, it's very surprising to me that the Boxing Ring isn't in either category! Seems like a perfect fit for 8 players as it's a rather large stage. Also, why only some of the FD forms? Are the others really that much smaller? In the 3DS version, it felt like there was little difference in stage size from one stage to another. I mean, I know Tomodachi Life is a fair bit bigger than, say, Yoshi's Island or Wily's Castle, but it doesn't feel like it's THAT much longer. Maybe there's a little more variance between stages in the Wii U version?
4. Bigger Stages - I think we've pointed this out, but big stages are definitely good for 8-player Smash. Also, is it just me, or do the fighters look smaller than usual on Temple? In Brawl, I feel like Wolf alone took up half of the lowest platform, now it looks like a player only takes up maybe a quarter or a third. This might make those tunnels less campy.
5. Danger Zones - About time we got a KO condition that didn't rely on how far you can launch the opponent. This is going to make a defensive game more important and really change up the way you use characters and who you pick. Someone like Little Mac might get wrecked while someone like Palutena might have a better time of it, where before, they would've had the exact opposite.
6. Dual-Plane Battling - Very nice. This really represents DKCR well. Also, good to know people can't stall for time by getting in barrels everywhere. Also good to know that the rear plane won't nerf your KO potential.
7. Number of Stages - ALL OF THE STAGES! I again feel like the lack of unlockables is a bit disappointing, since it looks like you'll be starting with a massive number of stages, just like in the 3DS Version, but who knows? Maybe there are just an insane number of stages altogether.
8. Miiverse Stage - I know this sounds like it's about the stage itself, but it's really about the ability to add stages even after the game has already launched. Also a very nice concept. Integrate Miiverse without Miiverse getting in the way.
9. Palutena's Guidance - This was a great easter egg in Brawl and I'm glad it's back. Also, Chrom sighted! Also, I wonder when and on whom Hades will butt in. You know it'll happen~ Also, no sign of Wolf in the convos, either. This may mean something or it may mean nothing. I also noticed that there is no Star Fox character fighting on Oribital Gate Assault when Falco's talking. Maybe it happens on its own? or maybe Mega Man can summon the voices, too? Strange.
10. Metal Face - IS TOO BIG! Oh, wait, that's not up, yet. Also, Gaur Plain banned. XD Can't wait to hear Metal Face's "unique commentary."
11. Ridley - IS FRICKIN HUGE! I'm looking at it right now! He's nowhere near Samus's height. He absolutely dwarfs Ike and Dedede in the gameplay footage. If you really didn't see that, go watch it again. You're blind. Seriously, the spike on his tail is bigger than Ness. I think this is as close as he needs to get to playable until playable bosses becomes a thing.
12. Coin Battles - Time to recreate my Coin-grinding stage.
13. Stamina Matches - These were technically in the 3DS version, but only as a final battle in Smash Run. Good to see it's back in full capacity along with...
14. Special Smash - A true classic in the making. What's new? You can give everyone Super Leaves, Rocket Belts, Screw Attacks, or Back Shields permanently, but that seems to be the only difference between this and Brawl's Special Smash. Still a lot of fun and holy crap is that match absurd! XD
15. Item Frequency - Hereby confirming that this feature was too hard to implement in Smash 3DS. A sigh of relief for everyone pissed about it not being in the handheld version.
16. My Music - Lots of cool music on this screen. Can't wait to hear it all!
17. Menu Music - And this wasn't included with 16 because...?
18. Tons of Music - I actually called this one. Ha! Nice! "In fact, it's not even comparable!" Love it!
19. Composers - I feel like this could've been skipped or added in with 18, but I'll let it slide on this one. I may look these guys up, later.
20. CDs - Again, this feels like it could've been part of 18, but transitions are nice so we can talk about...
21. Challenges - It's kinda like having four Challenge Panels but all available at once and they can affect each other. All in all, that's 245 Challenges between the two versions. I wonder how many challenges from the 3DS Version are also on the Wii U Version... I wonder how many challenges I'll complete just by linking my systems!
22. Classic Mode - Looks like fun, but also looks really difficult. at times. Seems like the odds of getting blind sided are higher than in the 3DS version.
23. Clear Movies - I love these. Glad they're back! That Kirby final screen!
24. All-Star Mode - This is still gonna be very annoying. I think I'll definite be getting sick of this mode just like I did, the first time. I'm gonna need some help so I don't pull my hair out trying to do this 51 more times.
25. Event Mode - I really love the set up for this one. It's very interesting. I wonder how many Events are in this version. My money is on 80 for solo and 30 for multi.
26. Smash Tour - I probably won't get much use out of this. I love the idea, but I don't know how many friends I can get to participate with this one. I wonder what decides the layout of the board. Does one of these boards look like the Subspace emblem to you guys?
27. Target Blast - I see they kept the 3DS Target Blast set up in addition to two other set ups. I wonder if you get a random one or choose your layout.
28. Group Stadium - Those Little Macs are going ham on that poor sandbag.
29. Special Orders - Rather interesting. The safe route and the risky route. I may get addicted to Crazy Order, if I'm not careful.
30. Master Fortress - SUBSPACE, I HARDLY RECOGNIZED YOU! Also, it's about time we got names for all of his forms, even if they're rather simplistic.
31 Controls - 8 control options! 8 players! Too bad this wouldn't actually work. X3 Also, it looks like you can rebind absolutely everything in this game. Not just the letter buttons.
32. Gamecube Controller Adapter - 4 + 4 + 1 = 9 player Smash? =D But no, I'm joking, of course. XD This one was kind of a dud so I just wanted to say something funny.
33. Using the Nintendo 3DS as a controller - These two couldn't have been in with 31? Oh well, I guess they had to pad it out to avoid talking about stuff they still wanna keep a secret for now. At least it seems very simple to set up. Also, is that tips next to 3DS on the main menu? Or am I getting confused? Maybe it's a placeholder icon so we don't know what's there until later? It occupies the same kind of space as Street Smash in the 3DS Version. I wonder what that could be.
34. Connecting to Nintendo 3DS - Did we already know this one? Oh well. I suspected you'd carry over your customs and equipment when you connected the two games. I'm definitely glad to hear about this. Also, dat Nintendoland theme. Can we get a stage now, please?
35. Tons of Trophies - TONS OF EVERYTHING! I'm gonna speculate that there are over 2000 trophies between the two games.
36. Final Smash Trophies - Yup. Saw this coming. Glad to see it return. These look more beautiful than they did in Brawl. Impressive!
37. Trophy Boxes - THANK GOD! I was really annoyed that I couldn't figure out what trophies I was missing in Smash 3DS or how far I might be. This is a great feature!
38. Photo Studio - Oh God, those pics. XD Can't wait to see what people come up with from this!
39. Trophy Rush - Didn't see this one coming. I'm glad it's back, though. And two players will make this rather interesting.
40. Masterpieces - I can't wait to see someone try and beat a game in the time limit. Speed runners FTW! Also, this is my chance to really try out Earthbound.
41. amiibo - Dat cheesy commercial, dough. owo I definitely want one of these, now.
42. Internet Connection - I hope it doesn't lag too much, this time. >: It's nearly unplayable for me, some nights on my 3DS.
43. Automatic Notifications - "EXCITING!"
44. Friends & Tags - It sounds like it'll be Team Smash only, but who knows?
45. Tourneys - I know this is something people love. Looks like you can modify Tourney Name, Start Date, End Date, number of Participants, Tourney Format (seems like this is the type of win condition), Victory Conditions (and this is the amount), and one other thing that says "1 Day." Maybe that's how often the tournament will reset? Once every day? Interesting. We're gonna be waiting about a month for info on this one, I'm afraid.
46. Tournaments - So the last one is like MK8 tournaments and this one is more official?
47. Wii U GamePad - Mirroring is nice for people like me that prefer to watch on the GamePad.
48. Paint - Another reason for me to be excited for the crazy stuff people roll out with. It's very cool, though.
49. Voice Chat - I hear a lot of people complaining about this one, but personally, I prefer it this way. I don't wanna talk DURING the battle, I wanna focus. I'll complain after the fact.
50. Stage Builder - I'm loving the song I'm hearing. Isn't it from Rhythm Heaven? Also lulz on that instakill stage.
51. Sharing - Exactly why all the photo editing studios really excite me.
Others - "REPLAYS AND THE REPLAY CHANNEL! BUTTONS! SOUNDS! RULES!" This is why I love this guy.
Bowser Jr. Reveal - Yay! I get to go find and watch more hype videos! This is a very epic trailer. It also explains why Bowser Jr. was unlockable. He's the perfect character to show off 8-Player Smash with. Note that he's a starter character in Smash Wii U. Perfect!
52. Movies - Nah, nah, it's fine. just keep going. Don't mind us. We expected 50, but we're cool.
53. Sound Test - So hyped for this. I'm hoping I get this by Christmas!
54. Mewtwo is on the Way! - Possibly the biggest news in this Direct that I don't care about! Really, though, when I realized Mewtwo was probably in the development of the game, but got cut late due to time constraints, I felt really sorry for the poor guy. He just never makes it back in! Glad to hear his fans will get their reward for loyalty (lulz, as if), but what's more important is that this is once again proof that the final game is not the final game. Wolf and Lucas can and probably will come back. In time. But let's not get ahead of ourselves, here. It's a great roster no matter how you look at it.
