I still hope Squirtle returns. I really love Squirtle.

I liked squirtle too, but I don't think it's in the (Pokemon ) cards.

Ivysaur was my favorite of the bunch.

I also like Squirtle. For some reason Charizard was the worst of the three for me.

Squirtle was always my favorite Pokemon. Sucks he won't be in this one. (Or at least, it's highly unlikely.)

Doesn't Greninja count as a fill in for Squirtle cuz he's a Water type?

I'm pretty sure Squirtle and Ivysaur are out. I have a slight feeling that R.O.B. is out, but he might be on the hidden roster. Mewtwo is still out (no idea why people keep insisting on that), and I'm definitely not holding my breath for Marshall or Chorus Men (honestly thought that was some sort of meme at first).

Charizard is overrated IMO. Squirtle was a better starter, and I love his mid evolution. But if him being playable instead of Charizard would mean that we'd get Delphox over Greninja, I would rather have Charizard.

I'm thinking Ness and Lucas aren't making the cut, we'll just get a Mother stage and that's it, really now I don't think anyone besides Snake Squirtle and Ivysaur are getting the boot, ROB is in because he represents the classic NES days kicking him out is like kicking out Game&Watch

Doubt it. Isn't the polar bear enemy in smash run? I thought I remember seeing it, which would be really weird if they cut the game's rep.

I'm going to keep my expectations as low as possible, that way anything more will be a pleasant surprise; I'm expecting 3 more vets and 1 more newcomer. I'm positive Sakurai will surprise and be secretive about as much as possible, so it's definitely realistic and reasonable to expect more than that. But heck, even if the roster stopped with the characters that have already been revealed, I'd still be satisfied. This will be a great game.
