My guess is every playable character will have a hat, but you have to unlock it by beating something like classic mode with that specific character in order to unlock it.

I hope he brings other Nintendo inspired masks to th Mii's such as shy guy mask, Majora's, mask, and more.

Why just Miis. Sakurai could go all the way with Princess Zelda cosplaying as Zero Suit Samus. Actually, that would make more sense in Hyrule Warriors.

@skyfox200 I love the Goku request on the comments section . As for Snake I really have no trouble with him not returning as I took it as a given on day 1. Still if he does return it would be a cool bonus.
