That would be awesome, but I'm actually kind of terrified at how he might look with modern technology. I mean, he was already scary on the SNES. Do you REALLY want to see how scary he'd be in HD or 3D?...Wait, scratch that. I really want to see him in HD or 3D.

Exactly. It would be very interesting how they would implement him too! Maybe have the Giygas place as a stage with Giygas himself as a hazzard. OH MAN NOW I REALLY WANT THIS!

That... Is definitely not gonna happen. Assist trophy, at most, and most definitely not any different from how he "looked" in Earthbound on the SNES.

I would cry tears of joy if Giygas got a stage or even just a trophy.

I feel I should mention this, but games like Mother and Fire Emblem can be tricky to design a stage for. Very little stands out as a perfect place for a fight. You can tell, like with Onett and Fourside that the stages aren't any particular spot in the map, but rather a representation of those areas. FE has arena areas that are perfect for this, but that's not always the case. This, if anything, is why Zelda, Mario, and other action-oriented series seem to get so much attention, stage-wise.

I WANT THIS TOO! He would be interesting to see in the game, and I love the Mother games, so seeing something from those games in Smash Bros. just makes me happy (STILL waiting for Ness and Lucas...).

Ehhhhhhhhhhh I think Mother and FE (especially the newer ones being Mother 3 and FE AWAKENING) have a lot to go on with stages even the older games have some stuff that can be used but I do agree it's harder to run stages off of those games. I just noticed how shocked I am that besides MK'S ship we haven't got a Kirby stage yet on both the Wii U and 3DS version...

I'm not sure if anyone here has seen this, but this video is of people playing a demo of the new game with Matt Ryan, who works at Nintendo Canada. At 1:55 he starts talking about some of the new characters. Keep watching up to 2:13 and listen to what he says.
