Selling my copy. Was happy to see the first proper Star Fox game since the 64, but sad it got botched due to a forced control scheme that just doesn't work. They could've come up with gamepad ideas that would've worked too. Like a 2 player cooperative mode where the 2nd pilot controls is the gunner looking through the gamepad while the other guy flies.

Another big missed opportunity imo was a Metroid Prime online first person shooter. Like Hunters on DS but bigger in scope due to less technical limitations, with teams of players battling it out. People flying dropships to invade a stronghold. Hunters like Samus would be super units with unique abilities that troops could rally around. A general flying a drone over the battlefield, giving out commands with the gamepad. I understand why fans were angry/disappointed when Rare came out with yet another 2d platformer on the console instead (Donkey Kong Country).

F-Zero could've had a cool replay mod with a grid of screens on the gamepad, allowing you to switch camera angles on the fly and make a recording of your run. Goes without saying a track editor would've also greatly benefited. Mario Maker was probably the single best use of the gamepad's features. And coming up with cool ideas for the (Advance) Wars series utilizing dualscreen/touch screen, I think would've been entirely feasible as well.
