I hated the aim anywhere and hit your target gameplay. The story didn't bother me one bit. Prime was more my style but I thoroughly enjoyed the 2d outings as well. Metroid is my second favorite franchise right behind Zelda so I've played them all. Other M wasn't bad but wasn't good either!

If I was only ever able to have Monster Hunter and EO games in the future, I would be a happy man.
@Spoony_Tech My question was directed at Artwark. I wouldn't say that anyone is wrong for not liking the game, but I think the complaints of that game are often misplaced. Not all, but most seemed to enjoy the gameplay, but hate the story.
And I'm not convinced that Artwark has played the game at all.
So Anakin kneels before Monster Mash and pledges his loyalty to the graveyard smash.
After seeing his other new games... I hope Miyamoto isn't just using the Star Fox name to experiment things you can do with the gamepad.
No, I want a real Star Fox game than i can sit on the couch and enjoy! Get Retro Studios on it!!
It's not a matter of not trying it. I experienced this type of gamepad-viewfinder in Nintendoland and Lego City. Didn't find it particularly enjoyable there either.
So do you think we should dual stick it from here on out?
To blessed to be stressed.

Haven't seen much of the Miyamoto projects yet, but isn't it depressing that in all this time he just came up with some experiments? Still no new killer franchise! Even Starfox is in the experimental phase!
People, accept the fact that Miyamoto's high days are over for quite some time. He just doesn't have it in him anymore, and he doesn't understand anymore what gamers want. It would highly surprise me if he one day comes up with something new and great again.

Personally, I think Pikmin 3 is absolutely brilliant and I would not compare this with any work in progress. I think he said on the Treehouse Live that he was also involved in the new Wii U Quick Start feature, which I also appreciate.

The dude has been helping out with all kinds of projects throughout Nintendo besides just the three he talked about at E3? What more do you want from one man?

You're right, I haven't played the game but the footage itself made me wonder whether I'll like it or not. It doesn't matter what issues I have with other m, the fact that it has unnecessary things going in there just shows why many didn't like the game.
And again going after Kid Icarus topic, if the game was bad, critics would have said so and the game wouldn't have made the 3DS sell well. But the fact is it isn't. If other m didn't have the unnecessary story and long cutscenes, it would have fixed the issues just right. Same can be said for Sonic Lost world as in terms of gameplay wise, it was good but the level design is what makes the game bad and critics didn't like it in the end.
@Henmii you do realize that this was the man who made what gaming is today right? That alone is an achievement that no one can take away from him.
when he retires or even dies, it will be the saddest thing in the gaming industry. So please show some appreciation to him. Its natural that he's getting old and may not be as great as it was back then and I can understand that because its only a matter of time that he'll retire and also the fact that Nintendo is managing to make great games without him is a great accomplishment because they have known Miyamoto as their own blood.
