I used the paint roller, and I agree it's OP in some aspects, though I found it hard do a attack an enemy, the attack is slow and short distance. The people using the shooters will definitely get you (unless their backs are turned, and you roll over them). The Roller is good for covering area, but bad for attacking people who's backs aren't turned.
Anyone else having serious issues with lag in matches? It's making the game practically unplayable. I've only completed two matches (both of which I won, HOHOHOHOHO) with the rest kicking me mid-match. I really hope it isn't my awful internet
I really didn't like the bombs, but I really enjoyed the Splattershot.
This beta was pretty good, all told. I didn't have any connection problems and most matches were fairly fun. I wasn't sure about this beforehand, by I'm definitely going to pick it up now.

Luckily I was able to be in the first test hour, as the other 2 won't work for me. That one hour was enough to convince me I wanted this game, though.
I did notice a few people were still trying to play this like a normal killing shooter. They tended to favor the Splat Charger, and sit on high platforms firing at the other players. There were also plenty of people who knew the true objective and painted the place up real nice.

Well, I did get two deaths from saying I was "squished" when no one ran over me, but the roller was just one feet away, so it's possible that his swipe also counts as a "squish", other than that, I didn't notice any lag.
Very few errors and only when trying to join matches, and no lag here. Splattershot Jr is my weapon of choice and I loved the shield compared to the other specials. Tried the roller and just couldn't use it, had to actually catch people to beat them, and most ranged players took me out before I could get them. Charger was interesting but not my style. I got on the boxes in the center of the warehouse and focused on covering my teammates so from what I can tell, splattershots lead the charge, chargers support and rollers finish it up.

This has happened to me every single time I killed a roller. When I was the splatter shot, I would take out a roller.. the confirmed dead roller, walk forward over his body, and then get squished instantly. Too me this is more of a glitch rather than lag.

I was mostly the top ranked person on my teams, but there were also times I was second, or fourth. I was Jason17 if anyone here was on my team or played against me.

100%. I think maybe the people who are complaining about the roller should give the roller a bit of a spin. You're completely vulnerable if someone comes to attack you unless they have no idea you're there. I had to resort to using the bomb in close combat and even then it was mostly just as a "revenge kill" thing. Barely worked.
So yeah, if you go with the roller you can cover a lot of area. Especially handy at the end of the match if you can sneakily cover over your opponents area. It's also very dominant if players aren't drawn into conflict over a small area. But if there is an all-out brawl for a smaller area? If the other team has pushed upto your spawn point? You're screwed.

An opinion is only respectable if it can be defended. Respect people, not opinions
I think people are judging the roller too quickly. It has it's drawbacks like any other weapon, it's just that nobody really figured out how to deal with it yet.
