Surely you could say the same about the fans of the Xbox and Playstation? I mean, all three of the main console companies have repetitive franchises that are popular, despite their mocked repetition.

True, but they haven't been milking the same cow for 30 years like Nintendo has.

Fair enough. However, while the amount of time it's been going on for does make an impact on the reaction people have towards it; from a business standpoint, sticking with what companies believe will continue to be popular is a safe bet for them. This is why Activision still works on the Call of Duty series and Nintendo still makes Mario and Zelda games.

Of course. Nintendo fans love buying the same game over and over.

Final Fantasy? Kingdom Hearts? Street Fighter? Etc, etc, etc.

Don't fault Nintendo alone for something most companies do.

Well, give them 30 years in the hardware business and they will.

Since I missed out on the Gamecube era I would pick up some HD collections like Wind Waker HD.

To blessed to be stressed.

I demand an HD version of Custom Robo.

Aside from having GC rereleases (because both my GC and my Wii are not working), I don't really want to see HD collections. If they want to bring back older games, I'd rather see remakes with new gameplay features added.

They should! BUT they should outsource it to other developers so they can work on original games, imagine if Nintendo gives Majoras Mask HD to Grezzo, what will happen? Zelda U and Majoras Mask on the same year. Or at least less than one year apart, it could also fill gaps.
Heres is an idea, MARIO AND SONIC's SUPER MEGA COLLECTION! Contains ALL titles from Mario And Sonic from the Super Nintendo/Mega Drive days!

I'm OdnetninAges, and I approve this message.

(Even though it's not likely at all, due to the Virtual Console's existence...)

As long as they're quick and easy remasters like Sony does and packaged up for around $20-30. If they're all going to be like Wind Waker and spend 6 months in development and ask full retail price, I think they're better off not doing it. The Gamepad doesn't really need to do anything more than mirror the TV in most cases.

They don't seem that to take that long to make and are relatively cheap. If it were up to me they'd hire new studios to update older games for the Wii U like Fire Emblem, A Link To The Past, Super Mario World, etc. as a way to gauge the capability of the company as well as give us some good games.

My SD Card with the game on it is just as physical as your cartridge with the game on it.
I love Nintendo, that's why I criticize them so harshly.
