So, I wanted to purchase a pro controller to play at the kitchen table using the GamePad as a micro-TV, but I really don't feel like forking out €50 to buy an official one - I'd rather purchase a brand new game for that amount. I was looking on Amazon and they sell a 3rd party controller for €25.
here's the link: https://www.amazon.it/CITTATREND-Wireless-Joystick-Controller...
It's got pretty good reviews (minus one which is blatantly google-translated) but I don't know...has anyone had any experience with this particular controller or with the brand in general?! Or anyone who could mention an alternative (although, it has to be available on Amazon Italy)? I don't like to buy 3rd party peripherals cos I generally don't trust their durability and overall quality, bur errrr...I could get 2 Nintendo Selects games for the price of an official pro-controller nowadays, so I really don't want to pay that much for an accessory...
cheers
Top-10 games I played in 2017: The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild (WiiU) - Rogue Legacy (PS3) - Fallout 3 (PS3) - Red Dead Redemption (PS3) - Guns of Boom (MP) - Sky Force Reloaded (MP) - ...
@spizzamarozzi Controllers is one area where genuine is always better. There is a certain tactile feel that a first party controller gives you that knockoffs will not. I strongly urge you to reconsider or you will waste the money you spend on this knock off before buying a genuine controller anyway.
@Dreamliner cheers for the tip - yeah, it's much better to wait and get a proper one later on. They are getting harder to find though, cos shops don't carry them anymore.

Waiting is not recommended. I'm going through my things to make sure I have everything I need. Getting more accessories later will prove difficult, or expensive, or you'll have to deal with secondhand.
@spizzamarozzi Have you checked flea markets or thrift stores? I got a Wii U Pro Controller (for Zelda) for $20 at my local flea market brand new in the packaging. If not maybe check Gamestop or a local game store for a used one.

@Tasuki I have checked GameStop and they have 2nd hand official pro-controllers for €39.99. Haven't checked flea markets yet because, well, I'm in Italy - there must be no more than 30 WiiU units in the whole country!! I've never seen anything WiiU-related in the wild so far (and I used to go to the fleamarket all Sundays to buy records). I'll follow your advice and get a proper one later on when I can afford it. In the meantime I discovered that there are more games that you can play with the simple Wii Pro-Controller (which I have already) than I thought!! You can play Bayo2 with the WiiPro?! Really?? You gotta admit that's cool! Anyway I'll still get one eventually, possibly before BotW releases, it's just that atm I could get 2 games I REALLY want (Lego City + Star Fox 0) for the same price of a pro-contr, so it's hard to justify the purchase of a single peripheral. Tasuki, would you say that the pro-controller is something that improves the quality of the player experience significantly?!

@spizzamarozzi Honestly I would save your money on Star Fox Zero.
As for the quality that depends on the person, for me I prefer a more traditional controller so for me yes it does, but if you like controllers with the added effects like the Gamepad or Wiimotes then probably not.
