It would be awesome if they made a Pokemon trading card game since its one of the most underrated in the video game series that can take advantage of the Wii U's feature.
The TV would show all the Pokemon in play, the action and anything else on the field like items and stadium. The GamePad shows the cards in your hand and certain card effects like "search your deck for a basic Pokemon" in which you control both with the touch feature or buttons if you prefer.
You can play the game similar to the gbc version but with more free roaming and other updated features. Online play with other people is obvious and you can use the NFC feature to use your real life cards that is NFC compatible.
A dying animal struggles, thrashes and howls in protest as its life torn from it. To see this in action, watch Animal Planet. The same thing happens when a video game is or isn't released. To see this in action, stay here.

Interesting, though I'm not huge on computer card gaming fan, this could be an intreaging installment for WiiU
If Nintendo and Gamefreak announced a true Poke'mon game on the Wii U consoles would fly off the shelfs. I really don't understand why the don't just do it. It would be so amazing.
I don't think it would change much tbh. The gamecube had quasi mainline games and still sold pretty averagely. The budget needed to do a proper Pokemon console game would be too big and you'd lose the added benefit of selling two versions with minor differences.
