Super Mario 3D World is a tribute to all the past Mario games and is bringing new stuff to the table. There are plently of Mario 64 references in Super Mario 3D World just from video footage I've seen. Example: Mario chasing after rabbits/bunnies (can't tell the difference) to unlock stuff. I'm not saying that Mario 64 HD wouldn't be awesome. It would be pretty amazing but I think a Mario Sunshine sequel oughta come before Mario 64 HD.

If they want to "HD" something the only logical choice is Eternal Darkness, not just for the HD visuals but the scary stuff they could do with the gamepad!
1) Change.org is a rather inappropriate avenue to petition a video game remake
2) These petitions have amounted to nothing approximately all of the times, as Nintendo cannot deposit 2,000 email addresses into their bank account
3) Just buy Super Mario 3D World
Look how great dues ex and wind waker turned out, at the moment deus ex is my favorite game on the Wii U. But it's fair to say that the Wii U has had it's fair share.
Let's move on people, the only ports I would welcome are bayonetta 1 (budget price and eshop only), and mass effect trilogy (eshop and retail)

I hope he mistook it for Mario is missing but I guess he thought it was SM3DL(but it wasn't bad! not the best not even close to the best but it was pretty good)
