I haven't seen any retailer in the U.S. stop selling Nintendo stuff, must be a European thing. Sure, they might have smaller shelf space for Nintendo games, but they still have the games.
HMV closed down in Australia 10 years ago... That's what happens when you overstock on Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake albums
I'm assuming they never came to WA, I've never heard of them. Looking at Wiki apparently they were squashed by Sanity. Sanity of all places. How do you get beaten, presumably on price, by Sanity?

Don't think there was one in Tas either. Yeah if Sanity was beating them, then they must have had horrendous pricing
@skywake@shaneoh Yeah, HMV were in Sydney & Melbourne for a short period of time with more of the same ludicrous pricing like Sanity... They ain't no Brashs that's for sure
i dont really see this as an issue.. if you want good deals on games then you should be shopping on the web.
i also make a point of buying all my nintendo games from nintendo. as its a company who have given me so much joy over the years and i will do anything to support.
where as i will buy second hand for 360/ps3 or even a less reputable way of playing them if you know whaty i mean.
i believe people who love their wii u are real nintendo fans. and people who love their xb/ps are simply cod, ac & fifa fans.
Well, first I'd like to point out that the UK is already notorious for their lack of concern for Nintendo products, in the first place. I'm not exactly sure why it is, but the UK just seems too look down on Nintendo stuff.
Second thing is that this seems more troubling to GameStop and GAME and EB Games and all the other popular gaming stores. HMV may be the worst-case scenario store for your last minute needs, but it's still a dangerous sign for bigger, more efficient, and more savvy store that could soon see the digital push cut into their profits, as well. I don't think Nintendo's losing too much sleep over this one.
I then walked into GAME to see a mum buying a PS4 for her 6 year old , now correct me if im wrong and I hate to use the term kiddie when it comes to nintendo but are there that many 6 year old friendly games on PS4? Surely a nintendo console would be the better choice for a 6 year old but maybe that's the dad in me as I have a 6 year old.
It might not be just for the six year old. Maybe its for the whole family and honestly the PS4 has more to offer a whole family with varied tastes more then a Wii U. Real sports games for dad, streaming options like Netflix, Crackle for family time, Hulu for Mom etc.

Recently I've been playing Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz HD, Link's Awakening, and Luigi's Mansion 3. Also replaying Rayman Legends and trying to get better at Smash Ultimate
Every GAME near me has closed down as well as the vast majority of hmvs (only one left standing). That one hmv doesn't sell games anymore. Hmv never priced their nintendo games too well, which explains why they never sold.
I have a ghost type safari with phanump +shuppet +?
Just a quick update to say I was in Lakeside at Thurrock, Essex today and HMV had a stand for Nintendo back with about 15 3DS titles, DKTF, SM3DW plus a space for Mario Kart Wii U. It also had a variety of figures and some soft toys including Pikmin!
Admittedly it wasn't a big space, but at least a Nintendo presence has returned to HMV.
Isn't it obvious that Falco Lombardi is actually a parrot?
