And yes, MH3 was supposed to be on PS3 but they decided against it because of costs. The game still looks gorgeous and is one of the few games on Wii to showcase it's power. Hopefully, MH4 will be multiplat for WiiU and the other two next-gen consoles to take advantage of the large space on WiiU's discs for loads more content (Xbox360 unfortunately does not have high density discs) and knowing Capcom, they'll want to cram so much into the game.

All that is true. However, there was a MH remake on the Wii in Japan, Monster Hunter G, so that makes 2 MH's on Wii.

Nah, it's much more likely on the PS3. The problem before was development costs or whatever, now that shouldn't be a problem 'cause the Wii U will probably cost even more to develop for than the PS3 now.
there already is a HD remake of MHP3rd coming to the PS3, which I plan on buying

And besides. Try and imagine playing fast paced MH on that tablet thing. Fail.

It'd be about the same as using a CCPro, they could even add an item menu to the touch screen, making it faster to use items

You assume all the action will take place on the controller? lol

or you could use the wii motion plus to slice and dice the monster s and when you need to use an item you merely look in front of you and the wii U contoller is there, and you can use items quickly on that while your killing the monsters with the motion plus

If millions of people can play MH on a psp, than it would be peanuts on the Wii U controller.

WM+? Have you ever played MH before? Next you'll be wanting a lock-on camera.

All these ideas people have to change MH for the Wii U and 3DS seem to always completely change all the mechanics of MH that make it unique and fun.

...To be honest I was actually thinking of a lock-on for the 3DS, lol. (it wouldn't be like Zelda though, obviously)

I agree with you bro. The way MH is right now is absolute harmony. The gameplay, the silly way hunters act...it's all perfect. but I would like there to be something that made it look better...

Perhaps just a way to make weapons look better. NOT to change how they look...just add more to them...I'm a gunner and I don't use any other kind of weapon (MH3 btw) and I noticed that, for example, a blade masters fire element swords only show fire when they hit a monster. But when I shoot Fire S you can see a visual effect of fire around my gun AND when it hits the monster. Same with thunder, ice, water, and dragon. So what I was thinking is...well maybe the blades of blade masters could have visual attributes depending on their element. Know what I mean? Like water Blades could have water dripping from them, Thunder blades can have thunder around the blade, Ice blades to have icicles or just plain ice on them, Fire blades can have flames around them, and Dragon blades can have that black and red thunder around it. And depending on the level of your blade, you can have less of the effect or more. for example: A weak flame blade can have just a few flames on it, whereas a strong flame blade can have lots of flames around it. Not too much visual effect...just a generous amount, Too much would just look kind of weird and over dramatic.

Just an Idea I got while marveling at my beautiful guns. I love you guns <3

@Arcanum: Um, yeah, I guess slight cosmetic changes are always welcome :3

actually that sounds pretty cool but I'm holding in my excitement 'cause I'm trying to be pessimistic about anything MH and Nintendo

And I'm sure the PS3 and Wii U (and Vita :cough:) could easily handle something like that, it's just no MH games have yet been developed on systems that powerful.

I don't enjoy the MH games. But i guess a WiiU version wouldn't hurt. The more games the merrier. Though I wouldn't be disappointed if it never happened.

Doubt the cost of making games on WiiU is as costly as it was to make games on PS3 back in 2006 when MH3 was announced. Even then, the problem of MH3 not coming to PS3 wasn't really the cost (in my opinion), but how difficult it was to program games on PS3. It's different now, but luckily, developing games on WiiU is on par with 360. People mistake that for power, but w/e. It isn't. I'd take MH PS3/WiiU anyday

As long as the new Monster Hunter (I don't care whether it comes to the WiiU, Vita, 3DS, or PS3), is as good or better than MH3, I'll be very, very content.

Not going to lie the Wii U hasn't done much for me but a Monster Hunter game could be a selling point.

The thing about console architecutre is once you have the assets/ engine, it's reasonably easy to make another game using that engine.

There's a Monster Hunter game coming out on PS3 in HD. It's a remake, but it opens the door for a new original MH game to be developed for the console relatively cheaply.

There's no Monster Hunter on the Wii U. That's not to say it won't happen, but like Dragon Quest/ Final Fantasy games, I suspect Capcom has some hefty targets to hit with a new Monster Hunter game, and it'll take a while for the Wii U to build up that kind of install base.

I wouldn't expect a Monster Hunter Wii U for at least 2 years after the console is launched.

Since MHwii happened with tri, it seems that a wiiU version is very likely. The architecture is similar, so that should be a major advantage for the teams to just build onto that base of knowledge tri had.

And, as an added bonus, tri did very well on wii - in terms of sales - and people kept playing. Now, add to that the notion that most dedicated gamers on wii were tri buyers and are most likely to buy the wiiU, they'd be silly not to develop for the wiiU...
