Yeah I don't understand either. Doesn't bother me one bit. Other then the freaky way he moves he's rather easy!
It's just a tedious monster.
Whenever he rages, there's at least 2 minutes of your hunt wasted.

how do i kill the duramboros? i survive 50 minutes in the second (shakalaka) rescue quest but i never get it to perish.
I know the feeling- in my first fight with it, I barely made it (finished in 47 minutes). I researched it a bit and the trick is you have to hit him in the legs when he starts spinning, so that he falls over sideways, then attack the humps on his back. He takes A LOT of damage if you hit him there (and if you break them he takes even more), especially if you have a weapon with fire element- in my second fight, I took him down in about 15 minutes.
