...People are actually disappointed with this game now? Only time I heard hating on this game was last year, where they said this has already been done via rom/hacks.

Oh wait, wrong thread. Anyway, this concept of mario maker is more revolutionary than most of us are willing to admit. Nintendo outsourcing level design to a community practically allowing for endless content? Winner. If you'll be able to play an endless mode (level after level) of some of the better rated worlds, nintendo just released the "all about the gameplay" force into globally unparalleled volume. Imagine what will happen if you boot up one of these instances again later. You can just keep playing.
Now extend that idea into a zelda, for instance. Nintendo could create a great world and some of its core elements, yes, but have everyone create a little patch of earth in the game at some point. Now allow people to visit each other in the “loosely connected online” structure. Boom! infinizelda. Prime? Boom! infiniprime.
This mario maker could be the start of a very nice concept with the new nintendo. I’d like nintendo to make a dungeon crawler like this or something lol.
The 4 different types of graphic styles and the Amiibo "let's have Link, Marth, Wii Fit Trainer or anyone else in the game" has made me want this now after being on the fence at first.
Will you be able to make the walls that are actually empty air when you jump into them?
It's been in the recent 2D Mario games and would be neat to involve in the level maker.
I bet no one knows what I'm talking about, it's really hard to explain...
Currently bored (while change when I stop being bored)
I'm wondering about moving walls as well as invisible ones, gah....this already has tons of features, but is still missing others! xD
I'm sure all of it will be in by the time it comes out, hoping for the "caterpillar blocks" and the coin trail.
Details on online sharing:
– Follow your favorite makers
– Can see how many people have played each of your courses
– Nice pictures showing an overview of the course
– Can name your course whatever you want (Nintendo will have fun with this one)
– Star Ranking – essentially courses ranked by popularity, give stars to what you’ve played depending on how much you liked it
– Featured – levels picked by Nintendo to be featured
– Up & Coming – things that haven’t been ranked, or just came out
– Can filter by difficulty (easy, normal, expert), by time period or by location
– Difficulty determined dynamically by how many people completed the course
– Can see clear rate (both percentage & # of attempts and # of completions
– Can leave comments on level at any time (while playing or after completing it)
– Seems like there’s a search option http://nintendoeverything.com/super-mario-maker-details-about...
Will the levels you upload be there forever, or is it like Smash's stage builder, where they'll only be up for a limited time?
Has much been revealed about what there is to do in this game besides building your own levels? Obviously you can play other people's levels, but is there anything else? I heard the four levels from the NWC are in it, so is there a special section of pre-made levels from Nintendo or are they simply there like anybody else's created levels? And I've heard about a 100 Mario Challenge or something, what is that? This game looks fun, I've just never been able to get into the create-your-own level thing in games like Boom Blox and Blast Works that I have tried.
I wonder if things like wall jumping and the stomp drop will only work in the Wii U version of stages or does it cross over to every version?
Also wondering what items they have, like the Racoon leaf, Ice Flower, etc. So far, the confirmed boss enemies are Bowser Jr. and Bowser. I hope the Koopa Kids will be in.
The one thing I'm worried about is the ability to manipulate the terrain so that every stage isn't just flat with obstacles thrown in. Super Mario Bros 3. had slopes and NSMBU had the cliffs and things like that, so I hope they let you use those features.
Compare this to what we saw last year, so there's a chance that slopes, maybe even Koopalings and those rhino things, and caterpillar blocks and coin trails could show up in the final version.

The thing I think would make for fun stages but I don't know if they can implement it is the ability they do in some levels to keep a Super Star chain going where a Super Star will only appear out of a block if you hit it before your current one runs out. That could make for some crazy hard stages if you are too slow but fun if you can keep the chain going. I wonder if they can get that into the game.

Are you sure those things aren't already in the game. If coin trails is what I think it means, it's just coins attached to a trail. (There are many E3 examples of objects attached to trails.) And koopalings could be a skin of bowser jr (the skin/appearance of an object is changed by shaking the object).
