I played some levels earlier by guy called Sporky (I think it was that) ,you probably know who he is as he's the number 1 top rated maker. Blocksploitation was one of the levels I played,I think it was his most recent one.Have any of you played it yet? I've no idea what he's done or how he's done it,any ideas?

I've just played another level by the same guy called Luigi's Last Laugh,he's got Luigi's riding Dry Bones and firing out cannons, operating chain chomps,Luigi MagiKoopas and clouds with moustaches. How's he managed to do that? Can this be done with the 8-bit Mario? Can't believe I've not noticed this guy before, his levels are fantastic.A bit on the easy side but so much fun to play.

@blaisedinsd: Seems to be,nice find.

@DanoLefourbe: Finally played a few of your levels, nice work.Greatest Hunt was lots of fun to play through,it's the first time I've seen the Duck Hunt Duo so that made it unique for me.I played the level how it's intended, collecting coins and exploring. Was all good.To Battle I've literally just beaten, that was great, challenged me and I died a good few times but never felt frustrated,The boss fight was great, manged to beat him on my 2nd time round once I knew what was coming.Life of Decay I'll need to come back to.Saboteur,I like the idea behind it and am keen to see what's further ahead but that part with the flying Koopa's coming out the pipe,I assume you need to hit their shells into the block which is fine but 2 layers I found a bit hard and got frustrated.Making it even harder is that the blocks are raised so it's got to be a perfectly timed throw to hit the 2 of them.I manged to get the first 2 a few times but could never manage the 2nd layer. The rate that the Koopa's come out the pipe doesn't help too, which of course isn't your fault. If there had just been one layer of block there that part would have been fine, while still being challenging.Would love to see what's ahead of there but I'm not sure I've got the patience to persist with that part.

Overall ,your levels were great what i played and will be sure to check out your next ones.Followed you and starred the levels I finished.

@OorWullie: The 8-Bit Mario Amiibo does make weird things happen, like in your case, having Luigi everywhere. Sounds like a cool concept for a level!

For you Zelda fans out there, here's my OoT Ganon's Castle remake.

It includes the spirit barrier mini dungeon, as well as the fights against Dinolfos, Stalfos to get the Boss Key and two Iron Knuckles in Ganon's Tower, before the show-off with Ganondorf himself.
If you like it you can also check out my Kirby's "Green Greens" remake, as well as my newest two-part series "Who Took the Loot?" and "Who Took the Plunder". I'd love your feedback!

Retro Pac-Man Pack-a-nistic, really quite precocious!

Please try my newest level!

Thanks! Please star if you like! And please play other levels in my profile if you like as well!

@MrPanda: Already did. Left you a star and a comment both on the site and in-game. Great stuff. Would love a part 2! ;)

@GIR: I tried your levels. They are really cool for what they are trying to do but Mushroom Minder and Building Bridges With Buzzy are really not my thing. I like platforming levels with enemies and a nice theme, that try to ell a story. Or pure platforming levels.

Perhaps you'd like to try my Spike Top Domain levels. They feature platforms and enemies

These are very hard compared to the other three I posted yesterday though.

Hey guys. I'm brand new here, but been making experimental levels since the game came out. I have a range of things, including several music trains and a couple of "don't move" levels, and I'd love some feedback.

Here are a few of mine:

Thanks in advance!

@OorWullie: You should try Saboteur again, the solution on the "flying koopa " section is easier than that. I will change that part anyway, with normal koopas. I will upload a new version pretty soon today

@OorWullie: I'm catching up with your levels! I have played the Cryptic Crypt today and loved it to bits. It has many layers of both gameplay complexity and sophisticated looks - the church, the cemeteries with the spooky graphic - it's lovely. Most of all, I think you have reached a great understanding of balance in the difficulty curve. The level is never so challenging that you want to give up and never so easy that you lose interest in trying. I had a ton of fun with it.
I still have 2 stages to try out (Mario the Kidd and Cape me Home). And I secretly hope you start working on a Stario Wars Episode 2 because the original level was a dream.

Someone sent me this:

I don't think this is very feasible but it is a very clever idea. In my recent level I try also to include "check points". However I use them more in way of short cuts that one can properly find only backwards. For example a pit where nobody really dies but that have a door at the bottom.

yes it's totally impractical but it's a great idea nontheless. He basically re-created a lock mechanism with rails and plants - great thinking. I have toyed with the idea of checkpoints myself in my level Heroes to Zeros (0B42-0000-0047-FBC1) but they were in the form of warp pipes at the start of the stage. Many people told me they used them to beat the level (the level is moderately challenging), which made me pretty happy because that is the whole point of checkpoints after all.

@DanoLefourbe: I thought there must be something I was doing wrong,I was tired when I was playing so was probably missing the obvious.I'll give it another go later.

@spizzamarozzi: Thanks for playing,I am quite proud of that level. My next level was going to be a SMB version of The Cryptic Crypt but with some alterations,I really like how the church looks in the original Mario style and with very little adjustments Ive thoguht of a way to make the 2nd half of it play out differently. It's an easy way to add an extra level to my uploads to get more stars with minimal work and should still be different enough to be worth playing through again. That's the plan anyway.I was a bit short of ideas for what to do next but played some fantastic levels today by guy named Sporky and he's given me some ideas.

Out of my other 2,Cape me Home is probably the best one,the top route is more fun and I'm pretty happy with how it turned out while the bottom way is more challenging but could do with some improvements.Mario the Kidd is so so,it's fun in parts but the ending is weak and can easily be messed up.There is 3 different routes to get to the end and trying to find them can be fun but I was short on inspiration when making it and I think it tells.

yeah I hear ya. You know I love the SMB style (66% of my levels use the SMB template) - the only con is that you can't carry the P-Switch in SMB so you gotta edit the level accordingly. Looking forward to play the Cryptic Crypt with the new artstyle, and the other 2 levels of course!

My new level 'Four Unlikely Heroes' (206D-0000-0094-5B8D) has been performing decently so far. It has been played by 9 players and finished 21 times, which means that people are re-starting it to play with different characters.

DanoLefourbe

I changed a few things on these two level.

On life and decay I made it so you can't skip half the level with he cape, by simply addind new path(nope, the skip wasn't intended ^^). Also some other minor changes.

On saboteur, I made the level a bit smoother overall and changed the green paratroopas with green koopas so the player has a bit more room to breathe. Very minor changes here and there
