Hey guys, I posted some levels over in the sharing thread but since most of them are being shared here I thought I'd post a new creation here.
I made this level quite recently and was exploring some interesting stuff with koopas. Let me know if you try it!
I need to go through the last couple of pages here and play all your levels too, some of the stream levels were fantastic and want to try more of them!
...Ok I'm done recording music, yay! And no one really said anything, so I'm not gonna upload it to Youtube, so...yeah.
Anyways deleted my first stage, since no one cares about it...might use this to create and upload another "Special" stage. Although it's not going to be as nightmarish as 1-1 Advanced Remix.

There's something I noticed when making my last level that's annoying me.I placed a pipe that spawns flowers but it doesn't seem to be consistent in putting them out. They will always come out eventually but the timing between them seems to be off.Sometimes they come out as they should others I need to wait a few seconds. If I go down into a sub level and come back up,sometimes it's there waiting and others it's not.Don't understand that?
@OorWullie: I noticed certain objects come out of spawn pipes inconsistently. It's like for certain objects, Nintendo decided they don't want to spawn multiple of them at once. I don't get it exactly but like, another Fire Flower won't come out until the first one is gone, correct?
I would have never guessed Weezing was so useful until I played a HeartGold Nuzlocke! My YouTube Channel! Video game related, of course! My Pushmo Levels
@Maxoxpower: Plants vs Pipes. I love it, but I can't beat it...uwu I'm going to come back to this stage... <3 @IntoxicatedDuck: Mushroom Mayhem. This course was fun and fast paced. It was fairly easy and I beat it on my first life, but it kept me on my toes. @Robot_Raccoon: Bowser's Overgrown Castle. Great theme. Fun progression, fun to explore. @Mariofan0: Big Bang Barrage. Classic airship course. Sort of slow. I would attempt this speeded up! o.o
Wow, I'm late checking out this thread!
Everybody play my course! I put a lot of time and effort into it! ^w^

Play mine and I'll play yours. <3
Fun course. I can tell you put a lot of effort in it. I like the way that each pipe served a purpose. Looking forward to trying your other levels! Thank you for the star! I returned the favor!
Thank you! I will definitely play a few more of yours. I certainly did like your course.
@MasterWario: Sometimes it wont spawn one if you are already carrying one and I don't think more than one will ever ocm eout at once. But my problem I've noticed is that even when I'm not carrying one and go back through a door or pipe to get one, sometimes it won't be there but other times it will. There doesn't seem to be consistency with it.I also noticed on one of my earlier levels,I made it so that when you kick a shell it goes down the stairs, takes out some goombas but will bounce back off a spring as a surprise to try and take you out,Problem is,only sometimes it works, other times it gets stuck in between the spring instead of bouncing off it and I've no idea why haha. While I'm at it,another thing I've noticed is inconsistency with enemies I've placed.I have a level with 4 spineys on a platform, all placed 2 spaces aprt from each other with a block at each end of the platform so they have nowhere to go.Sometimes when I get to the platform there are only 2 there.
@OorWullie: Well I can definitely help you out on that last one. Just because you placed enemies a set distance apart doesn't mean they'll stay that distance apart in-game. In fact, they rarely do. Now this doesn't apply directly to everything (tracks for example seem to have a large draw distance), but most objects in the game spawn once they get a set distance toward the screen (I think it's like, one/two block away from the screen). So if you have 4 spinies in a row, but only move forward enough to spawn two of them, they'll start to move and maybe fall into a pit or de-spawn, while the other two haven't even spawned yet.
Extended explanation ahead. Proceed with caution.
You might have a situation where there's a jump ahead and you're on the platform beforehand. the first two spinies are within draw distance while you're on the platform, so they'll spawn and begin to move (potentially off screen). The other two spinies get within draw distance while you are in midair while trying to jump to the next platform. Because you can't just float in the air, the two spinies seem to spawn at the same time. They really didn't though, but it's basically the same time (one is spawning milliseconds after the other). So to try and fix the problem, you may need to move all the spinies backwards, until the first one is out of draw distance until you jump for the next platform.

My user on Wii u is same as here, feel free to add me :)
Who is this Tyler person on the Miiverse that left a comment on my Lemmy's Circus course and said "it's way too easy to lose both capes and there are too many enemies. Fix it!"
There are five capes in the course (which is plenty) and you don't need a cape to complete the course. Most of the people who played the level completed it fine.
I love your courses! I thought I was following you before, but I wasn't. That's why you got a follow out of the blue!! Hahaha!
I'm guessing that was you... the course is not hard at all.
There are two capes that I found in the general reachable vicinity of where I was. If there are 5 capes, that's too much. If you're not ready to take constructive criticism, you shouldn't be making levels.
Edit: You deleted my comment? How mature of you. Not everyone is going to like every part of your level. Your level isn't flawless and neither are mine.
LOL ,yes there are five capes and one is hidden, and it wasn't constructive criticism. Your comment was "I can't beat the stage, there are only two capes and it's too easy to lose them. Fix it!"
That isn't constructive criticism. Tamara and other posters have left good constructive criticism in the last two pages, and yes I deleted your comment.
I never claimed my level was flawless either. If I thought they were, I wouldn't be asking people in the thread for suggestions and advice like I have been.
Well there's also too much going on at once in your course anyway, and you have your opinions while I have mine. If you don't think your levels are flawless, don't be so offended.
checks on his videos
.....You know what's funny? I have 3 Super Mario Maker videos up, all 3 have the SMB overworld and main theme....Youtube's copyright system only detects 2 of them. lol

Considering buying the Wii U for this... Is everybody pretty much agreed that this is the best game on the U?
What's wrong with Splatoon, MK8, Tropical Freeze, 3D World, Smash U, Bayonetta 2, Wonderful 101, Pikmin 3, Rayman Legends, Affordable Space Adventures, Lego City: Undercover, Runbow, Wind Waker: HD, Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker, Yoshi's Woolly World, Art Academy: Atelier? I'm pretty sure all those games have followers who claim it to be the best game on the Wii U, for whatever reason. Just as others will claim Super Mario Maker to be the best game on the Wii U.
jariw has a good point. Get the game if you've always wanted your very own 2D Mario level creator with near endless platforming potential. If none of that sounds interesting to you, don't get it.

I must admit this isn't a bad program (even if there are more level-builders on the internet to be found). I have already made a few levels that aren't that bad in my opinion, though I still have to make something really stunning (I don't have much time on my hands). However, some people out there have already created awesome stuff. Really impressive. When I have more time, I'll try some of your levels (the Nintendo-life community levels). In the meantime you guys can find my stages under the username Henmii, of course.
When Nintendo comes with a update, they really should add the option to search for usernames, level-titles, etc. Its not very handy that you always have to put in those codes.
The few people who tried my don't move(automated) level where you did have to move at the end to beat bowser all died at the end, so I updated it so it's fully automated now. Give it try if you're tired of pushing buttons all the time.
Ok I've tried a few stages during my lunch break - I have picked at random from the latest pages so don't feel bad if I haven't played yours, I'll eventually get to it. I only had time to play one per user, so here's my round-up.
@OorWullie: I have tried Stario Wars: Episode 1. It's huge and it looks like a proper spaceship level should look. Really liked the fact that you first have an exploration type of cavern level, and then once you enter the "base" (or whatever that is...I have never seen a Star Wars movie in my life) you get your bit of platforming. The bit with the saws is great - usually when you see passages like that, the trick is to go inside the rails and come out from the opposite direction, instead you have the player go AROUND the thing, which I thought was very original.
@Undead_terror: I really REALLY liked the idea of a Dr.Mario themed stage, with buildings, ambulances, and all that extra stuff that you have cared to put in the pipes!! The micro ghost-house in a level that basically couldn't have been less ghostly was awesome - have you put an exit there or the player has to backtrack to the pipe where he came from?! Because I got killed on my way back by the giant skeleton turtle and had to restart the level. The turtle is so big it almost closes the passageway, forcing you to do some complicate manouver. Anyway I couldn't complete the level because I had to go back to work, but I'll give it a shot tonight. Just one thing - I would get rid of that bloody "BURN" trap, or at least give the player a way to go back up the pipe - it's really infuriating when you die because of an inevitable death trap so far into the level! Good job nontheless - the level looks incredible.
@MasterWario: I have played your Red in a Cool Blue. It's great. I have seen many stages claiming to be "Metroid-ish" and yours doesn't but it's more Metroid-ish than most. It's not a super-intricate labirinthic level but what it does it does pretty well. I love that you went into the trouble of making small rooms for almost every pipe and turning a dead end (second section to the left) in an area where the player can get an useful power-up (the leaf). Again, you didn't go for "pyrotechnics" but it's just a compact, solid, professionally made level.
@ChelsAngel: I have played Jungle Fever, and I liked it so much that I have also played Rosalina's Journey (the two you have made with SMB1 graphics, which I love). Jungle Fever is excellent. I have toyed with a DK inspired stage myself but yours is head and shoulders above mine. Also, both stages are aesthetically wonderful. The first screen of Jungle Fever looks like you're playing a new version of DK3. Rosalina's Journey is also lovely - it's just a well structured stage. One small detail: when you get to the section where you have to use the giant turtle shell to smash the blocks, if you accidentally push it to the left (the wrong direction) you lose it forever and have to restart the level. You should put a block at the end of the platform so it bounces back. Or not - you should do more SMB1 stages because you are really good at making them.
that's it for now, I'll play more when I get home.
In the meantime, a shameless plug of my new level Heroes to Zeros. It's very hard so it'll take a skillful player to beat it. But it's also so easy that even a blind man in a dark alley can complete it with Zero problem. It features checkpoints!
Top-10 games I played in 2017: The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild (WiiU) - Rogue Legacy (PS3) - Fallout 3 (PS3) - Red Dead Redemption (PS3) - Guns of Boom (MP) - Sky Force Reloaded (MP) - ...
