Topic: Super Mario Maker - OT

Does anyone think with the treehouse stream today they will wear hard hats like the do with splatoon and dress up.

I'll get the game later this day. Sometime between 7pm and 8pm, my time of course.

Edit: It seems you have to save self-made courses at least. But I don't know...

As much as I was unsure about the pre-download, I think I'll be doing it today.

I'm a little worried about how long this game will last, but I think I'm just antsy to get a hold of it.

Depends on how long the servers stay up. Same with Splatoon; both games rely on online.

I hope there's another way to share levels, like if you save the level on your system and share it via a file download or something. Obviously requires more work, but...still another way. lol

I think I am going to wait on this game. I have so many other games to play through (still finishing up NSMB2 and NSMBU) that I just don't think I could give Mario Maker the amount of time I should.

It looks like the pre-launch title update gave an additional unlock setup, this time based on how long you use the create mode rather than use for 5 mins and then wait for the next day. I received day 2's content 5 hours before day 2 could exist.

My copy arrived today amd I've had a little play around with the course maker. It works really well! I'm not a creative person, but it's so easy to use that I'm really enjoying making levels!

Heh, that's cool...though my "game" will have sublevels on the first stage...so I'll just use this just to play around in general before actually uploading levels and stuff.

@Grumblevolcano: Yeah, the update removed the 9-day limit, every 15 minutes you spend with the creator, you get the next day's content. So you're able to unlock everything in just a couple of hours. A much better system to be honest.

Nintendo actually realized how silly it was and changed their plans accordingly. That is amazing, and they deserve big props for it. Great job!

I can't wait to play it but it will be another 8 hours until the digital download will release. So glad they made this patch to unlock every thing faster. I think they realized every one was going to change the time settings anyway.

Wow they actually retracted that ridiculous 9-day thing? That's freaking amazing! I'm actually shocked.

Next day Amazon'd my order just now. Let's hope it goes through lol

And my order came 10 mins ago but I'll save it for tomorrow, looking forward to making and trying levels.

Fantastic, it's great that people can now play at their own pace now. Now I just need to wait for GAME to delivery it then I'll be ready to make Marios.
